Such a tasty place to go wild hot potting!
The last time I was here 7 years ago, they did not have the AYCE. They do now and I ate for 10 people! :D
They haven't only you can eat all day and this rocks are pretty good. There's also a lot of choices for add-ins. Another plus is that they have beef tongue and lamb. All this would have gotten them a four star except for the last time we were there. The girl was pretty rude and seemed annoyed that we were there. We were about 45 minutes into our meal before the meats arrived. We would have understood if she had told us "sorry we're super busy and we're running behind but it's coming" vs. "it's coming in a few minutes." She told us this at least five times. I just didn't like being lied to. This was especially sad since I have been reading about this place to my friends for a while and they came all the way from California and Arizona to try. It was pretty disappointing to hear that this was one of the worst places that they have been to. On top of all this the parking is terrible. It'll be a long while before I come back, if I come back.
Loved it; atmosphere is key
GREAT service and excellent wait staff. NOT NOT NOT Gluten Free although they erroneously have a "Gluten Free" menu. My friend had asked in advanced and i had e-mailed in advance to check out the GF situation and was assured they understood GF. NOT SO!!! NOT GF aware AT ALL. All their sauces and broths that are labeled GLUTEN FREE are NOT GF since there is Kikkoman shoyu (soy sauce) in them. I spent some time with the wonderful open minded staff discussing this. The "chef" had assured them these products were gluten free yet, at the same time, the chef was unaware that shoyu, unless specifically noted, contains WHEAT (it is clearly in the ingredients list). The staff was fantastic and agreed their gluten free menu needed to be revised. Hopefully this happens as it is a fun place to share a meal. Celiacs can get meats and vegetables only. Do NOT trust anything else in the fridge. I chose the "spinach-tofu" and it turned out to be spinach-fish (which was terrible and most likely fake fish with wheat) so I think I contaminated our gluten free broth (oil and chili pepper only to be safe) that i was sharing with my Celiac husband. It is very sad that Honolulu is so ignorant of how easy it is to cook Gluten Free and avoid kitchen gluten contamination; it is so easy convert to gluten free shoyu or gluten free tamari. btw, Kikkoman DOES have a GF soy sauce, green label. Kudos to the wonderful friendly wait staff. Chef, you are on notice to improve your GF education :) . Unfortunately, we came with high hopes that my husband could enjoy a stress free meal and it was not so. Chefs in Honolulu do not value the emotional aspects of a meal like they do in Italy.
One of the best hot pot restaurants in Honolulu. This place offers a Taiwanese flair on hot pot and it's absolutely delicious. The house broth is really nice and the summer garlic broth is excellent. Great selection of meats, dumplings, and vegetables along with a dozen or more sauces to complement. What's more, you get a large complimentary bowl of shave ice topped with boba, fruit and coffee jellies, and sweetened condensed milk, and it's wonderful. This location also has an all-you-can-eat option, which I recommend.
All you can eat for under 20 bucks includes dessert!
This is my favorite place to eat and it’s the best. Great deal on the hot pot, everything is because you only have 1 1/2 hour to eat and afterwards you get shave ice after your meal. There is a lot of options to choose and there is many options to choose from for your pot and options of soup base. There is also sauces to choose from as well. Just read the menu and you’ll see what deal you want to choose from. Totally recommend, very popular. The wait is not too long ether.
Five stars for food, service, and value. One star for parking. Small lot shared by a few small businesses. If you're in a rush...the parking will drive you crazy. But if you have the time...the wait will be well worth it. The miso butter soup was great. We've had a few others on previous visits. The selection of add ons is great too. My wife and I are pescatarians...and finding enough add ons is never a problem. And the shaved ice that comes with the meal is the perfect ending to a great meal. I highly recommend this place.
I love the amount and variety of food they had to offer. Their specialty sauces were very good and there were 10+ I think. Finally, their service was great and they were all very friendly.

Best shabu shabu! Many different Delicious dipping sauce to choose from.
The hot pot is good, but more like 9/10. I recommend getting the fish balls.
Delicious hotpot and shaved ice. Happy hour is quite short. Price is alright.
"Where would you like to eat?" Here. Always here. Pumpkin and curry broth are my two favorite. The service is always five stars.
