To be honest the convenience of the pool and jacuzzi next to a bar late night definitely sold me. However the FOOD…. It’s disappointing to say the least. It’s BAD. As a a matter of fact is very very bad. The calamari was hard as a rock. I was shocked how that could be sent out. Who knows maybe it was just this plate and maybe others are better.

While shopping downtown Waikiki, we came upon the Swim Bar at the Hyatt Regency Hotel and stopped in for a meal. The bartender, Kyle, was very personable and he shared his insight after having lived in Hawai'i for over 40 years. We shared a large pizza and it was absolutely delicious. I could have eaten two of them! made the lunch experience most enjoyable and the atmosphere was simply fabulous. I can only comment about eating there at lunchtime but I would be willing to wager that dinner is just as wonderful. Swim Bar is definitely on the rotation the next trip to Hawai'i!

The staff here are very friendly and attentive, but unfortunately the food is extremely disappointing. The fried chicken was so dry and tough that it could practically break a fork.

We stay at Hyatt properties for more than 60 nights a year, and this is the first time I’ve ever encountered such poor food quality at a Hyatt Regency. For a hotel that charges at least $300 a night, the standard of food is simply unacceptable.

Nice rooftop bar and restaurant overlooking Waikiki. Few standout items on the menu are: Mango Daiquiri and Poke Bowl is a must! The Poke Bowl has a wasabi based sauce that is incredible. Service is good with low wait times.

I’ve been a guest at Hyatt for many years, and even stayed at Hyatt Waikiki for long period of time before moving back to the mainland. I am down visiting with my friend and was excited to show her the swim & restaurant bar. This has been on our itinerary for months. We had a very unpleasant encounter with a man working around the pool.

He came up to my friend and I and asked if we needed any help. He then informed us that only guest are welcomed. I was confused because online it says the bar&restaurant “welcome to the public”. I explained to him that online it says you didn’t need to be a guest, but with a confused look on my face, I still grabbed my stuff to leave.

The man responded with an aggressive tone and let us know that he could show us a handbook with his security guards where it says “guests only”. I have never delt with such a rude Hyatt employee despite my many stays with Hyatt. This situation could have been handled better as I was only asking a simple question.

Limited menu and the staff never get your order right. Sometimes not open for breakfast. Took a server 20 minutes to put in an order. Horrible service.

Great place for lunch, a little out of the way and easy to miss. there’s a pool and deck chairs as it’s part of the Hyatt.

Food was good, very generous portions and service was great. We had the nachos, Korean fried chicken, fish & chips & fish tacos which were all delicious.

The menu, atmosphere, and cocktails were all satisfactory. It's right next to the pool, so it has a great atmosphere if you eat in the evening. If you are staying at Hilton, please stop by! The server, Sean, was very friendly. They checked our table from time to time to make sure it was okay. I was happy thanks to your kindness. Be sure to order and eat the bulgogi nachos! It's really delicious
The cocktail was the most delicious of all the cocktails I had in Hawaii.

Not much of a reason to come here unless you want to be served drinks by the pool or just really don't want to leave the hotel. Just average food and drinks at a high price.

The bartender was not knowledgeable about drinks: she did not know how to make a 1944 Mai Tai.

Why is the ceiling dripping at the bar? Couple next to me said "that's normal" the first time I glanced quizzically skyward. What?

The fish tacos were fat Nuggets of bland white fish on corn tortillas that could simply not sustain their girth. If the slaw wasn't sad and dry, if the fish wasn't so weakly seasoned, the weird disparity in ratios could be forgiven.

As the fourth or fifth fat drop of water splashes onto my shoulder from above, I sadly wish I picked another bar to close out the night.

Staff was friendly and gave me a little 2 ouncer of beer for no reason. 4 stars for them. Nice people.
