Stopped by the other evening to give Tanaka Saimin a try. I called in my order and it was packed up and ready when I arrived. The young lady that assisted me at the counter was super sweet. We got Tuna Cheese Melts with Miso Soup, a cup of Corn Chowder Soup and a scoop of their Macaroni Potato Salad.
We thought the sandwiches were delicious but would've loved a more crisp exterior. It came with a choice of Miso Soup, Fries, Mac Salad or Toss Green Salad. The Miso Soup was full of tofu and had a good flavor. The Corn Chowder was full of Potatoes and Corn and was delicious as well. The Macaroni Potato Salad had a great flavor and paired well with the sandwiches. I'd recommend stopping by if you're in the area. If I get the opportunity to return I plan to try the Won Ton Min... that looks good!

Food is good. Nothing super fancy. A great family place. Service is awesome. They are really friendly and sweet. Would I go again? Yes, absolutely. I just need to keep trying different things to find my favorite. My brother loves their roast pork. I haven't found my favorite yet.
Great value, very affordable and a large selection in the menu. And the food is very good. Seems to be popular with the locals. Can get crowded at times though. Friendly service.

Went to have breakfast after grabbing some poi donuts from kam bakery. I’ve never been here but my mom said she’d never go back, so I had to try it out for myself. Right when we walked in was greeted by the hostess and was able to sit down. Are we just came shortly after asked if you want anything to drink? I got water and a coffee. The coffee was 4.95 but have free refills. I ordered the Tanaka special and my other half ordered the miso butter fish. Now you think about a place that has saimin in their name who would think the broth would have some flavor, but it doesn’t. The teriyaki beef and the potato salad was good. As for the butter fish, it was a nice portion for $21 the favor wise it was not good. On the plus side my son did enjoy the saimin. Service is friendly and fast. But honestly, would I go back again, probably not. At least I got to try it.
