Haven’t been awed in a while, and Tane 100% awed me!
- Atmosphere was lovely and the service was fantastic
- The Sunset roll was a burst of flavor, despite how simple it is
- Paradise Cove was a more complex roll with many different textures and flavors
- Their chik’n skewers were unbelievably good. Probably one of (if not the best) veg chicken experience I’ve ever had
- Da bao buns were good, but not my favorite
- I didn’t love the California roll / Spicy tuna roll....
This has a been a favorite restaurant of my wife and mine for quite some time now, but I do feel that it has regressed a lot recently. I feel that they’re constantly trying to rush you out nowadays and turn your table over fast by serving all your food within 10-15 minutes which is just too quick and you’re out in 30-40 minutes as you feel rushed the entire time. The waitress literally picked up our soy sauce bowl while we were in the middle of still eating our last few rolls...
My wife comes here everytime she visits honolulu. Excellent food catering to the vegan community. Sushi is top notch. Definitely reccomend coming here even if you arent vegan yourself. You won't be disappointed with any menu item. 5/5. We return every year on vacation!
