Tapa's Restaurant & Lanai Bar

Tapa’s Waikiki is a good spot with friendly bartender who makes good drinks.

My spouse and I have been regulars here since Pride (Oct ‘24) of last year. This is the best Gay Bar in Hawaii. The staff are very friendly and their drinks are reasonably priced. Great Atmosphere!

Bartender was SUPER rude to my boyfriend. Got the feeling that they don't like people from out of state 🫡

I have always felt welcomed with open arms after moving here almost a year ago (solo, no ties, friends or family). Updating the speakers for karaoke was an AMAZING decision. HUGE variety of songs & options & user friendly library searching.
Bathrooms are always clean, bar is always clean (no sticky shoes - if you know what I mean), employees and patrons are always welcoming and approachable anytime of day!

Definitely recommend for a whole night or just to stop by and feel the aloha from this ohana.

They got good bartenders but bad people that go in the bar between 8 pm to 9pm very routy crowd had one guy without his shirt on. Come on it's a bar not a show stopper place to get people these younger crowds are the worse they need to have there own bar and not come to tapas very bad experience sorry tapas gang but you didn't make the cut

Friendly atmosphere. Please reconsider how loud the music is in both the back and front areas...especially with DJ's.

was in the area looking for some gay bars. went here. the bartender was cute and very quick with our drinks. would’ve actually stayed for a second or even third drink to play pool but some bar regular got so pretentious about the rules of pool and made us stupid uncomfortable and didn’t care. on our way out i let him know how uncomfortable he made us and he not only didn’t care, he said to “please never come back” and i wont based on the clientele. if that’s the people in the bar im out. when it comes to community the dude just really was a mean gay when it came down to it, not an enjoyable time honestly.

I came here a few months back not expecting much more then a chill place to have a few drinks after work. Fast forward to now and I've been coming at least once a week. I've made new friends and I've had so many great times here. The bartenders are kind and the atmosphere is fun and welcoming. Love this place

Such a cute spot to go hang out. We enjoyed our time, even on a weekday. Very friendly staff and helpful

It’s a “meh” place for me. We went multiple times since it was so close to our hotel and it was usually dead. On a positive note, the AC worked very well and the place was clean. Seemed to lean towards bears and the music was decent.

Love the ambience and had awesome customer service. There also is a pool table which is hard to find nowadays.
