Good spot for breakfast and lunch plates.

Really enjoyed the loco moco from here! Also quite a few options for lunch plates along with okazuya style plates and side stuff like musubis. Staff was chill, lots of cool little treats and stuff to look at and buy around the shop.

It's a great place for breakfast (lunch as well), they open early and the food is delicious. We had loco moco and their breakfast special with spam, both very good. We also took out some bowls of freshly cooked rice and pork and rice and chicken to gi for eating later on. The owner was very nice. He said we can park anywhere on the street while buying food from Tatsuo's.

Had a great experience, customer service was excellent and the staff was very accommodating!

Vegetarian options: Choose the house salad (romaine luttuce, red cabbage, carrots) with zucchini and bean sprouts and ranch dressing. Absolutely delicious. Would definitely make the trip back here!

Parking: Small parking area.

Is it an island custom to serve meat loaf and call it by another name?I ordered a cheese burger that's what I should get. Instead I am served a ground beef patty that has been mixed with eggs, bread crumbs, milk fried and served on a bun with large chunks of brown Romain lettuce...why? I have been to other restaurants and food trucks and noticed that this is some kind of trend on the island and it needs to stop or you need to start making meat loaf sandwiches.

just a short story, today I was on my way to work and got a flat tire. I knew I was unable to get to my location safely so I had to find a quick and safe place to pull over. I was able to safely park next to Tatsuo's. Although im pretty sure i wasnt able to park there, once I let the owner know my situation, he kindly allowed me to park. Super nice guy. Went in there and bought a few drinks, chatted with him before I left to wait for the tow truck. Tow truck took so long that I was still there when Tatsuo closed. I wont go into details because its too long lol but anyways a lady came out of Tatsuo's (im not sure if she is the wife of the man but im pretty sure she also calls the shots lol) anyways so she comes out and we talk a little about whats going on with my car and she calls her grandson and tells him to bring all of his tools. Her grandson comes and him and another great samaritan helps to take my flat tire off and put on the spare one. when they're done i took out some cash to pay them for their generocity but the lady would not accept my money. she tells me that she wont accept the money but asked that i just come back to buy food from their store to repay them for their kindness. Im a new driver, just got my license last year. I didnt grow up with the knowledge about cars, i will definetly change that! But i just wanted to share my experiece because there arent a lot of people that could take some time to help a complete stranger and this is exactly what the owners at Tatsuos did. Im very upset at myself for not getting their names, i will once i go back. Im sorry i know i said itll be a short story so ill end it. But to the owners of Tatsuo, their grandson and the good samaritan, i just want to say thank you, THANK YOU THANK YOU times a million, from the bottom of my heart for the kindness you showed to a complete stranger!

We landed in Hawaii yesterday around 12 pm and we were HUNGRY. I didn’t want any American food I wanted some GOOD food. Let me tell y’all, you can taste the love in every single bite of this food! They have this thing called the Loco Moco (picture with the eggs) it’s literally so delicious! It a homemade patty with, rice, some chopped onions and gravy! And the chicken was just *chefs kiss* magnificent. We came here from Utah and we’ve been too some restaurants like L&L and Mobettahs- which are good also but this was amazing! I high recommend. Good food and even better people! The owners (I think) were so nice! Love them!

Great service and food!

This is a blue collar take-out spot in the heart of an industrial area. Great value and fast. Very friendly. Zero frills. No seating. The interior space is cluttered. Potato chips were expired by a couple months.
