Everything was delicious from their special Old Fashion Drink & Hamachi & Sishito Peppers, carrots, Steak & Oxtail. Oh and their special dessert with torched meringue. DELICIOUS will go back♥️
This restaurant needs a lot of improvement. The share plate concept does not work. Shrimp toast was thick squares of dough with no shrimp. Salad was under seasoned and over dressed. Rice was bland but the mushrooms over it were way over salted and soggy. Cocktail sent back. Could not even decipher what was in it? The whole concept was strange and nothing made since. Try a simpler menu and leave the idea of fine dining to a chef who knows how to cook. The dining room was stark and uninviting.I don't expect Arden to last through the year.
A lovely restaurant located a bit beyond the Waikiki mayhem. Friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable staff. Outstanding creative food. Local ingredients. Impeccably fresh fish. Great experience overall. One complaint is that the noise level was high, even with less than full dining room. Physical problem with the space, not management's fault. But it was hard to converse with my partner across the table.
What a fabulous dinner. Beautiful location and views; warm aloha greeting. Our server, also in charge of their wine program, was just superb. A wonderful menu that accommodates a wide variety of tastes, but is always exciting. Every single staff member appeared truly pleased to help you enjoy the evening. The level of cooking was just spectacular. All starters, mains and desserts were keepers!
We shared an appetizer of sashimi. VERY different and so tasty. Tasted like more please!! Dinner was a sharing of oxtail which I never had before. It was served over udon and so good!! ?????And a side of zucchini. Cosm was ok. Service was perfection. Manola
The li hing tomato was tasty, the Brussels sprouts, eggplants were excellent as well. The pork chops were overcooked and difficult to slice. It felt like I was carving with a butter knife. I'm cheering for the couple preparing the food. The service was excellent and the waiter was knowledgeable and helpful.
They offered Hamachi kama (Yellowtail tuna collar) as a special of the night and I was glad I ordered it. It was served tempura-style with Korean kochujang sauce and lettuce, which was a good match. Hope they offer as a regular entree next time. Loved it.
Fletcher was an absolute great server. He was very attentive and kind. Everything was just delicious. The fries with the aioli you must get. They are divine. The smoked ahi poke was not only delicious but was beautifully presented. The brussel sprouts with pineapple are literally out of this world. My friend and I enjoyed the breezes from the open windows at the front of the restaurant. It was a total Hawaiian culinary experience!
Food was pretty good but service was surprisingly poor. We were never asked during the entire meal if we enjoyed the food or drinks. Communication was very limited - at least with our table, other customers seemed to attract more attention from the waiters.
Inventive combinations of flavors with an emphasis on locally sourced and excellent preparation. Our server, Maryann, was very welcoming and helpful. The view out over Diamond Head is a pleasant change from the ocean-view centered restaurants on the rest of Waikiki. Subtle and balanced cocktails with good creativity. The bottle wine list offers a good variety of choices. We definitely should have listened better to the "family sharing" menu note. We ordered way too much food, but they were happy to box up our left overs. Our favorites: Hirabara Romaine salad deliciously crisp lettuce with an excellent herb dressing and damn fine macadamia nuts; Foie Gras Terrine was one of the nicest, creamiest terrines we've ever had, just perfect; Braised Oxtail udon noodle, which is not a soup but rather a twist on an oxtail ragu with excellent noodles with the perfect chew and great beefy oxtails. And excellent evening. We'll definitely be back.

We tried some new dishes. Enjoyed the shrimp toast. Ordered the special tempura fish collar. We enjoyed the fish but the side sauce seemed too thick to us and the flavor was hard to identify. Grilled cabbage was great again. Very special. We also had the zucchini and enjoyed again. We like to try new items when we visit. We will definitely be back. We also appreciate the ambience. We live nearby so it is great having a special so close.
I am so happy the oxtail udon is on the menu! Highly recommend it. You can't go wrong on any item you pick from the menu. The ingredients are fresh and each dish have unique flavors that blend beautifully together. Thank you chef for sending the blueberry panna cotta! Delicious! Perfect spot away from busy Waikiki. Free valet parking and the staff are knowledgeable, attentive and friendly.
We loved Arden! The menu is great. Staff are 5-star professional and attentive. Each dish was delicious and creative. And the atmosphere was wonderful. Looking forward to visiting again soon!
I dine out almost every day, looking for unique, consistent, creative dining experiences. Aside from offering delicious, healthy food, I look for parking, ambiance and service. Valet parking is the easy choice. Location is the LOTUS HOTEL, next door to the Colony Surf. Shareable items are fantastic! Try the Foie Gras Terrine, a creamy pate like butter, served with onion jam and Umeshi jelly on pillow toast! Bocconcino Burrata, Tomatoes, onion, mint,, li hing vinaigrette is also a winner. This is a secret gem...on the quiet Gold Coast, not really in the hustle and bustle of Waikiki. Kudos to the husband & wife chefs with impressive credentials. Our server, Maryann topped off our wonderful experience. Please treat yourself to this five star place.
I hate to call this a "hidden gem" but it truly is. Husband and wife chefs offer truly creative, delicious, and healthy dishes that leaves a lasting impression. Our server, Maryanne, made our dinner extra special. She is a true professional, and cares about the little things. Kudos to all!
