Participant in the FiveStar app. This is supposedly their Flagship location. However, this was our first visit--I'd received a BOGO milk tea offer as bonus offer to come and try their shop. I walked into the shop and showed the person behind the counter my offer, and entered my number on the FiveStar terminal on the counter. The offer showed up on their terminal. He looked again at the offer on my phone, said he saw it (on *his* screen I guess?), pressed something on his side (redeemed it on his screen I guess because then it went away), and then he left to go to the back. He came back and then said he's not going to honor the offer (AFTER ALREADY REDEEMING IT from my account), and then wanted me to prove it was offered at the Pi'ikoi location. I said he redeemed it so it wouldn't show up anymore (it is a 1-time offer). He said I should use the offer at their other locations. I said again I couldn't, because he had already redeemed it. And he said, well, we're not doing it. Really? Wow. After cashing it in?? If you weren't going to honor your own company's offer at the location it specifies on your own coupon, at least tell me BEFORE YOU REDEEM IT. Not cool. Will not return.

I walked in @7:15Am this morning, the only person there, I ordered simple breakfast ( toast with egg) and coffee. Waited for 30+ minutes no food. Asked the guy and he checked the chef then told me the chef took care carry out orders , he put my at the last . I waited for another while, finally the food came, the roast and egg were all cold.., terrible experience.

Had the Kissa Latte ice cream rolls and roasted rice and gyokuro green tea. Rolled ice cream was firmer than others I've had. I like it a little softer but it was still good. Nice coffee flavor to it. Really liked the roasted rice flavor in the tea. Great service. We arrived a few minutes before 10pm (not knowing they stop making ice cream rolls at 10) but by the time we got to the counter to order, it was just after 10. Seemed like one of the orders before us took especially long, not sure why. In any case, when we asked about the ice cream rolls, the worker immediately responded that he knew we had arrived before 10 so we would be allowed to order it! I would have accepted if he had said they wouldn't do it, but to go above and beyond to offer it to us without a fight made me note the positive customer service experience.
