Beautiful view of Koko Head & crater, but we both had upset stomachs afterwards, so I wonder how the kitchen hygiene is? This would be a 5 star environment to just drink beer though!

As someone from Austin, TX, moving to the island for a few years, I always hear “Aren’t you going to get homesick?” Naturally, I thought about that. A kind gentleman I met on the plane recommended this place, and wow — I was shocked! It’s nothing like what I was expecting in the best way possible.

From the BBQ to the beer, everything was spot on, and the décor absolutely blew me away — all the famous Austin murals are displayed on the walls! It instantly felt like home. I’ve already told three of my Texas friends here about it, and I’ll be making a point to stop in every visit.

This place truly nailed it, and I hope the locals give it a try too. You won’t be disappointed!

Went with my friend to have lunch. Ordered the chicken wings. Delicious. Fast and friendly service. This was the old shack. Food is good. Dining on the water is available.

Good food, good service, and nice to sit out by the water. Could use to clean up the bbq sauce bottles though, kinda gross with sauce all over them.

Walked in... no one greeted me and bartender saw I was standing there but never acknowledged me. I had to apache her and ask is this open seating and she finally got a waitress to seat us. Got the menus and bugs crawled out of it. I should've left but I'm understanding as it's outdoors. Ordered food which took wai too long because they food tasted like it was from a microwave or just plain cold. BBQ ribs were old for sure and over sauced. The mac and cheese was cold and not creamy at all. It was like paste. Cole slaw was the best thing and it was a 5 out of 10. This isn't Texas anything.

ordered the lunch special plate, brisket, sausage, beans, and slaw for around $25...and I couldn't finish thw whole thing I was so full! It was delicious, probably the best food I've had on this island, large portions as well! The brisket was SO good, tender and moist, no such need for any sauce!

I just moved here from Kansas City, and this place has better brisket than Arthur Bryant's, Joe's, and all them. It's the kind of brisket that almost makes you want to tear up from the sheer beauty of the flavor. Don't think about it, just try it.

I had a disappointing experience. I found mold on the bun(as the picture), which was quite upsetting—bad luck, I suppose. Additionally, the beef lacked flavor and didn't meet expectations. I hope these issues can be addressed to improve the overall quality.

Such a fabulous place for a relaxing lunch on the marina at Hawaii Kai.
I had the red neck nachos which are made with tater tots instead of chips, and covered with Chipotle sauce, sour cream, brisket and jalapeños.
It was delicious and enough food for another meal later today at home.
It's definitely worthwhile to eat there and enjoy the scenery of the marina.

Purchased a single plate today. Pulled pork, coleslaw, corn on the cob, dinner rolls. Added an extra side; macaroni.

Tasteless coleslaw, and that was the BEST thing in this meal, well the dinner rolls was fine. I doubt those were made themselves though. The food had not a speck of seasoning, the corn was pooled in what seemed to be unsalted butter, and cooked so thoroughly it was barely edible. Pulled pork was basic, dry. The macaroni was weird. I've had white cheese macaroni, and it can be great, this was not, AND their was a dead bug in it. I immediately reached out to doordash, and was refunded for the side. Too bad a refund isn't possible for nasty food. This has been the worst tasting restaurant tried since moving here. If this is Texas like bbq, I never want it again in life. Overpriced mess.
