Small dishes , beer and wine overpriced and they had the cheek to add 20 per cent gratuity which l refused to pay as this American tipping process is way over the top.

DON'T GO HERE! BAD service and LOW QUALITY FOOD!The staff in this restaurant is very pushyThey don't give you time to make your choice at ease! The youngster front desk employee tried to SCAM us. For the same order we took the day before they charged us 3 dollars extra for each dish..they said that overnight they started to charge people extra if they wanted tofu instead for meat of fish. After a discussion and a lot of irritations from both sides we got our 6 dollars that we payed extra back. This was the last time we ordered here. The food here also contains a lot of oil.We found a much better place nearby( siam square) where they offer better service and better food.

Had lunch and the food was awesome. Had the Tom yum goong n fried rice. And since the food was nice, decided to have dinner here again on another day. Had the coconut milk soup, snapper and fried rice. Awesome food too. Plus near to where we were staying and near the main Kalakua Ave.

We only tried the papaya salad Lao style. Being in Laos for four years. I know it is authentic. Spicy, fresh with fish sauce.

The amount of each dish is very small. don't be fooled by their little lower price of each dish. Two of three of us had funny stomach after dinner. The worst part is they added 20% so called "Gratuity" on top of Tip to the bill. We questioned why there was "Gratuity" in addition to Tip. The waitress simply said "if you think our service is bad, I can remove it and reprint another bill". So if you didn't pay attention to the bill, you'd ended up paying over 40% tip to them. There were about only 10% tables occupied in this restaurant at the prime dinner time at Waikiki.

Food is great but I have to leave one star for the server adding a tip to my bill and then giving me a receipt that did not show the tip. Only after complaining that the bill did not add up was I shown a different receipt with the tip added. :-(

Food was good, atmosphere okay and the service was terrible!! I will never go back! And if you have a party of five they automatically tack on 20% gratuity even though the service was terrible! DON’T RECOMMEND this place!! There are much better places to eat than this place!!

Looked like a great little place to eat. Didn’t have to wait long for a table (family of 5). They don’t have good serving etiquette and will bring out one dish at a time rather than allowing everyone to begin eating together. One dish was incorrect which they fixed. Not even water is without a charge. We weren’t attended to once after we got our food. I had to get the extra napkins, silverware and extra plates. Noodle dishes were tasty but curry is NOT their specialty whatsoever. Upon leaving we were surprised with a gratuity add on too, since we were on vacation I paid it but did ask why that charge. Apparently over 4 people is subject to 20% extra on their bill so be aware! I’m sorry but when I have no control over how I think my service was when it comes down to tipping, that is a big red flag and extortion. There are better places to eat in Honolulu!

This review is only for vegetarians. The food is terrible. The service is horrible. They are really sad to see you. Probably the worst Thai place I have been to in past four years.

Flavorful dishes, fast and helpful service, surprisingly modest prices. The only improvement I could ask is more veggies and protein with the noodles and fried rice dishes. A good vegan option if you ask for them to hold the egg.Vegetarian options: Vegans ask for no egg.

The food was good, but portion was not so much. Price did not match portion. We left still hungry. Didn't want to order more food because we knew it wasn't worth it. Please go over your receipt and ask for it. I had to come back and ask for ours because we left and wondered why the bill was so high. So they add 20% gratuity automatically and then another line asking for tip. We didn't realize that because we didn't get a receipt. But yeah we went back to fix that because I wasn't going to tip twice! We were still hungry and no they don't deserve that extra tip. Felt like we were played twice!

Food is more of street food than restaurant food quality. The prices should be lower and need more quantity with food I considering the price Food feels heavy and not clean. It's almost you are visiting your friend's grandma in the country side and fixing you a meal with an old expired ingredients. Food is super high in sodium content and it may taste good with the initial bite but gets too salty real quick. Service is good and very friendly staff. Based on food taste and quality, I will not recommend this place.
