Worst seafood I’ve had and I’m from Denver. The shrimp literally had the texture of melted butter and smelled like ammonia. The oysters tasted absolutely off. They had shit for drinks, and none of the staff knew what was going on. I ordered the spiciest sauce and it was no spicier than cholula. If you’re visiting Honolulu, DO NOT GO HERE.

We visited the Boiling Crab during our last night in Honolulu. We ordered the king crab, mussels, Dungeness crab, shrimp, crawfish, and fried soft shell crab. All of the seafood boil items had “the whole shabang” sauce which is all 3 sauces in one. It was delicious and had a slight kick . We would highly recommend the Dungeness crab - it’s a whole crab!
Our server was very attentive and the owner / manager was also kind
Overall, thank you to the team for the fabulous meal! We hope to be back the next time we are in Honolulu

It was really good, the service it was perfect! But the shrimp and mussels were overcooked, the flavor is good but not as much as LA’s. And actually we ordered some fries and they didn’t have so much Cajun tasted only like fries.

We were there on Sept 7, 2024 for my birthday lunch. The restuarant was very clean and the staff was inviting and happy. We ordered the Crawfish & a King Crab Leg combo for four people along with the cajun fries. It was my first time having crawfish and was not impressed for the amount of work you have to put in for the little meat you get when you peel it. The sides that come with the combos were awesome and plentiful and the sauces were mouth watering. They have a handwashing station which I liked. Do not wear whites or light colored clothes. It can get messy. A good kind of mess. Our server was awesome and when we left the manager and staff said goodbye, thank you, and all with a big smile. Great job! I would add photos but google review is giving me problems today uploading.

Sorry to have to say this: The king crab ? legs were rotten ? inside, me and my guests from London UK got sick.
The crab tasted like old cheese, and the crab meat was gray in color...
I can't believe the chef would give us trash crab meat that was probably expired. The crab meat had black marks and cuts on the shell, so we thought something wasn't right, but when we proceeded to open and tasted the crab, it was stringy and tough with bad oder.. we tasted it to see if it was just the sauce, but now we are all sick ? and using the bathroom ? .
The sauce had way too much oil ? ?.
I ordered food here last night at 9:30pm as take out as we love seafood and always eat at spots like this and we got home pretty fast so the food was still very hot when we got back.
I was very disappointed in the food. My goodness for $105 it should be much fresher and have way less oil ?.
To the restaurant owner: I'm disappointed in the quality of food. Please have the chefs check the expiration dates of the seafood. Don't let this happen again... we may have to send Gordon Ramsey to taste test.
Please ask the chefs to rotate the fresh food, check the dates and ask what day the seafood was bought in to the restaurant, and throw away what can't be used if its old. Seafood is dangerous health hazard when its expired.

I changed my service review from 5 stars to 2 stars. We come here almost twice a month because we love their bag of seafood! We tried to order our usual Medium Dungeness crab combo but the server informed us that the weight of the crab prevented us from order it. The usual cost increased due to ala carte but we understand. One of the servers asked us how's everything, and I informed her that the sauce we order is spicy (Medium), but the one we received was not. I told her what we received is definitely Mild and not Medium and she said she'll look into it. Because probably the kitchen might have read the order wrong (idk) but she didn't bother returning. It was disappointing that she made us feel that she wasn't sincere at all, that she only asked because she had to and left. My partner and I can't handle the Tripple X spice level, but we still wanted some kick in our order, so it's not all savory that spicy in that sauce would keep our appetite. You'd get it because it is an experience of eating; that's why dine there. Is receiving the sauce we didn’t expect a big deal? No. But genuine customer service is. But tonight isn't the experience I tell my clients. We weren't even asked if we wanted to wear gloves. I just hope she came back and maybe recommended giving sauce on the side so we'd know she acknowledged it rather than nothing and walking pass us.

I'm giving 3 stars, because the service and atmosphere was outstanding. Everyone was so friendly. Shout out to George, and everyone else that helped out without hesitation. Y'all are awesome. Now for the food. We got quite a bit. We got a snow crab combo, some king crab legs, lobster, gumbo, wings, and a chicken tender platter. 2 things that disappointed me the most, was the seafood. Crab with the shell on shouldn't be so bendy, that the cracker is just useless. It was soggy. It should snap and crack. The shrimp, was mushy. The clams and mussles were chewy, like chewing bubble gum, because you just keep chewing and chewing. Sauce wasn't too bad, but nothing particularly special about it. I liked the slight kick of medium. The second thing was the wings. I didnt even bother to take those with me. They came out hot and crispy. Incredibly juicy and tender. I could taste the lemon pepper. But the flavor, I'm assuming is the oil they use because that does not taste pleasant at all. Might need to change that. Other than that, my son really enjoyed his experience. We will probably go back. Maybe today just wasn't a great day. (PS I really like the fries).

This was my first time in Honolulu and I was missing the seafood boil in Chicago until I stumbled upon this place. The food was better than I expected. If you can handle the spice get the mild because the medium head had us turning red and we loved it! The combos are enough to feed two people and everyone will be stuffed at the end! Highly recommend! We took ours back to the hotel and had a feast.

We visited the Boiling Crab during our last night in Honolulu. We ordered the king crab, mussels, Dungeness crab, shrimp, crawfish, and fried soft shell crab.
