On 2/3/23 I was first in line and ordered 2 coffee of the day Costa Rica. )There was no one behind me either.) Cashier/barista asked if pour over was acceptable which was fine. As I waited by bar other customers came in and were being served ahead of me!? Saw 2 pourovers on counter and another barista with colorful headband came in an told my barista to make a whole pot instead of making the promised pour overs! When I complained, she told me she'd get it quickly and proceeded to give us coffee from the pot that had just starting the dripping process. Argh! The coffees tasted very weak because hairband barista took over and cancelled the promised pour over and started a new pot of coffee without waiting for whole pot to complete dripping before serving. I'm upset but due to her oppressive attitude when I called her out about pourovers I refrained from complaining further. There's coffee shop just across the way so maybe they will appreciate my business and taste buds more?

I've been to 6 CBTL on the island, and this location is my favorite. I've gone multiple times a month for a few years, and their quality and service is consistently good. They also have a faster speed of service compared to the others in the area. Plenty of available parking. They have deals on Mondays and Thursdays, I recommend following their Instagram to stay up to date on them. Along with having coffee shop staples, (lattes, drip coffee, etc.), they have some local favorites such as li hing lemonade and pineapple iced blended (similar to smoothies). My recommended drinks: Pineapple cream iced blended Pineapple cream iced blended with li hing mui Cookies & cream iced blended (with or without coffee) Strawberry iced blended with chocolate powder Li hing lemonade Mango iced tea Mocha latte

Coffee Bean has gone downhill in general over the past few years but this one is the worst. I’ve had many bad experiences and stopped coming here for years….it’s 9am and I came in for a light roast. They didn’t have any and didn’t want to make any. They said it’s too expensive. They also charge you so much more for everything and for things like a cup of water. This place is a joke. Management is the worst and double-downs on bad customer service. I went across the street to the green building for the light roast and noticed they messed up and brewed dark. I told them and they jumped right on it. I got a cup of water for free and when I get a iced tea I can get free refills, instead of being charged $4.00 for one at coffee bean. Bye bye.

The service is weird man. Like they always try to up-sell you on the largest drink size whenever you’re there. They’re sneaky about it too. They won’t tell you it’ll cost more or that there’s a smaller option. They’ll hold up a cup and say “is this size okay?” Hell naw man, I want a coffee, not type 2 diabetes! I think the most egregious worker that does this is this chubby asian dude; I think he may be the manager. anyway, it has a good location, that’s what the extra star is for.

I think this is the largest Coffee Bean & Tea that I've been to. Very nice and cozy feeling. They even have a mini library dedicated in memory to a former patron. Wailea took my order. She is so sweet and gracious! She made my visit so pleasant! It is so refreshing to see " young ones" that are so professional and live out true " Aloha"- style customer service!!

This was my first visit while my doggo was across the street on a play date. I have always had good experiences with this chain and this was no different. There were a couple of new items I was interested in and the very helpful young lady at the cash register took time to explain, including how she prepared her own version. I ultimately took her recommendation for a vanilla bean cold brew with oat milk and it was delicious. I'm ready for the next puppy play date so I can come back!

TERRIBLE SERVICE!!!I ordered a "hot americano" and they gave a "2x machiado", I ordered the largest size cup and they game me a smaller one.When I try to tell them they had the order wrong, someone else came, an asian looking guy who I believe was a supervisor, and he told me that the order was right, implying I was laying to him. I said: "no, that's not what I ordered". He insisted: "yes, that's what you ordered".Now, he was not the person who took the order, so he has no way to know what my order was. I insisted the order was wrong so he went to the office to look for the ticked.About 15 minutes later he came to my table, where I was waiting with nothing to drink and simply said: " we got you what you paid for, if you want a hot americano, you have to pay an extra $1.05"At this point I was very irritated. I have been a customer at this place for years now. I thought they could have, as a courtesy, simply gave me the drink I wanted, specially after I waited soo long, and the error was on their side.I am foreign and I do speak with an accent. I imagine the girl who took the order didn't undestand me and took a guess. She never said something like: "excuse me, I couldn't undestand what you said", she just gave me whatever she wanted.Finally I said: "it takes too long to get a coffee here" and I asked for a refund. This guy, whos name never told me, acted like making fun of me and while he was giving me a refund he had a give smile that he kept all the while.I felt very disrespected. This guy was truly making fun of me.If you don't care for my business at all, you'll never get it again.I'll get my coffee at Sturbucks from now on where, everytime I go, they call me by my name, and they know what my drink is.Your service is lousy.

I love this location and how close it is to UH Mānoa. I first tried Coffee Bean & Tea on the mainland, so it's nice having a place to go to when I feel homesick.
