The food was great. It even looked the same on the plate as it did on the menu which is rare. The onion rings were delicious. Order extra ranch dressing if your doing takeout. The BBQ hamburger 1/2 lb was awesome.

I stopped by this burger spot in Kahala and was really impressed. The burgers were juicy, perfectly seasoned, and came with fresh, local toppings that made a big difference. The buns were soft but held everything together, and the fries were crispy and hot.
What I liked most was the friendly service—the staff made me feel welcome right away. The place has a laid-back island vibe, great for grabbing a casual bite after the beach. Prices were reasonable for the quality, and the portions were more than enough.
Definitely one of the better burger places on Oʻahu. I’ll be back for sure, and I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a solid burger in the Kahala area.

This is one of my favorite restaurants on Oahu. The burgers are unbelievably delicious, especially if you get the Hawaiian bun! Drinks are great, milkshakes are excellent, and the burgers are cooked the way you order them (so many places overcook burgers).

I LOVE The Counter. The burgers are delectably delicious - who doesn’t love a customizable burger??? And their milkshakes are to die for. Love love love.
And, even better, their patio is dog friendly! As a dog trainer, The Counter is the absolute perfect training spot. I love taking dogs in training here to get them accustomed to settling under the table while their owners have a good meal.

40 minutes in and we were told they forgot to put our order in. There was no service. I went to the bar and asked if our table could get water. They didn't come to our table. I walked up to the girl in front and tried to flag her down to see if we could get some water now 45 minutes in and she made eye contact with me and completely ignored me. We walked out. Hire some competent employees.

We dined in and the burgers were good 👍. So we ordered an extra one for take-home. When we got home and opened our take-out burger, it only had a patty and avocado on top. What a rip-off. No bun, no toppings, cheese, etc. Don't want to drive all the way back to Kahala for one burger. The manager said he will refund us. Let's see.

Great service, delicious burgers! He took me here since he liked it and I had yet to try it. The service was fast and our server gave us some recommendations on items to try. We chose the build your own burger (vegan) and nashville chicken, as well as the cauliflower wings appetizer. Everything was so tasty! Fresh ingredients and didn’t need to wait long to get our meal. The cherries tomatoes were forgotten in my burger, but everything was yummy so I hadn’t even noticed. Cauliflower wings have fresh herbs which is a nice touch. We look forward to eating here again!

Small group after University graduation. Seated right away, food served fresh & hot. Service was excellent! Non-meat options were just what I needed-and the cookie-butter burger-YUMMY! Cocktails were fab as well. Best burger we had on the island!

Giving a 3. The food wasn't bad, I had a turkey burger, my husband had beef. The burgers had no seasoning whatsoever. Just plain meat. For the price point (about $87 total between the two of us) I wasn't expecting bland. Presentation was nice.
