Loved the overall vibes. The drinks were smashing. I had the privilege of enjoying the Soup Soup with Angelisco Blanco, acid adjusted pineapple, Oloroso, absinthe, Sugar Cane Dane Maui Falernum clarified with coconut as well as the Rub Up On My Belly with Guava jelly infused Pau, acid adjusted pineapple with Fever-Tree lime & yuzu soda. I don’t usually go for the “popular” drinks but both were unique and delicious. My one ice cube was printed with “The Lei Stand”. Nice embellishment. They also have alcohol free libations.
Google says they are temporarily closed but I happened upon their instagram page and saw they were open tonight. After some friends also recommended it, I had to walk over. It is two streets over from the AC Hotel. The staff were lovely. There were a mix of people present. Date night, singles, groups of friends. Many of the patrons were local and on a first name basis with the Stand staff. Their goal is to reopen full time but for now we might have to settle for once a week. I wish I could’ve stayed longer but had other obligations. Cheers! Aloha and mahalo for making my night. Will be back.

I had a reservation at the Lei Stand that I booked on Open table. They cancelled it on me with only 2 days notice. Not only that, but they didn’t even call me to inform me about it. Instead, they only sent a message via OpenTable. I’m glad I happened to see that email before I arrived!

With unique and delicious signature drinks and a killer $2 happy hour (plus tostada tuesdays!) There's a little something for everyone at this unique speakeasy situated near the Chinatown theatre.
The vibes inside remind me of the cocobongo club from The Mask with highbacked booths floral designs and accent lighting, I'm ready to catch a live music performance there while slamming some chorizo tostadas! Go check it out the place is designed to make a good night happen for you and your friends.

So from what I heard from former Linecooks and couple of there Chefs is that the kitchen doesn't get support. Also with the poor ventilation the kitchen is so got the multiple Linecooks quit cause of it. They rather get the Bar up too par versus the kitchen. So they need to get there priorities in check before someone gets hurt!

We were rushed to leave our table in order to seat the reservation after us. I thought this was unwelcoming and unprofessional, especially since there were MANY open tables.
Either The Lei Stand has a flawed reservation system, or they are trying to artificially create exclusivity.
I’ve had better food and drinks at much more welcoming restaurants.

Mediocre experience, mostly due to the hostess. Both the door man and the server were sweet but as we walked in for our reservation the host gruffly told us we needed to be out by the time the next reservation came. This seemed particularly pointless as it was not busy. It felt less about giving us a heads up and more like we were an inconvenience to her. The attitude as soon as we walked in left a bad taste in our mouth. We grabbed one round and left. The drinks were okay, overly complicated and pricey. Enjoyed the NA options.

Overall, our experience wasn't good. I'm not sure if the A/C was broken or if they don't have any at all, but it was very hot and muggy inside. We were first seated closer to the lei wall and had a great server there, however, we later moved inside to a booth and our new server was horrible and rude. The DJ was extremely loud, it felt more like a club than an upscale lounge and it was difficult to have conversation. The heat became so unbearable we ended up leaving. Before our time was up, my husband went to pay the bill and the server actually asked him if we were leaving soon because she needed the table. It wasn't the experience we were expecting and left disappointed.
A must try in

Really disappointing. The hosts couldn't find our reservation and were rude once they did find it. After being seated in a near empty restaurant, they came up right away to tell us we had to be out by a certain time making us feel uncomfortable and rushed. The rest of the experience was marred because of the lack of hospitality shown at the door.
We had a reservation for 6 and they walked us to our table. 5 minutes after giving us menus and seating us, the host tells us to move as we don't have a table. Turns out the host seated another group at our table and they ended up kicking us out. The other group didn't have a reservation but used our name. The host didn't apologize and kicked us out. Lei stand isn't as great as they all say. Horrible service.
First time there-everything was amazing: drinks, food , atmosphere, service!! Our waiter Anthony was awesome and we found out that we knew someone that works there-what a small island!! We will be back to enjoy more drinks & food??
My second time here and I just love the atmosphere and the service was wonderful! Staff were very tentative and polite and helpful. We didn't get any food so a food rating is irrelevant for our party.
Cool place, great food, very friendly and attentive barkeepers! Worth to sit longer than only for one drink ?
