The Signature Prime Steak & Seafood

Hubby and I went to celebrate our anniversary since we haven’t been able to celebrate an anniversary properly since he’s active military.

Going in, the lobby is beautiful, the wait was less than 10mins and we had a nice view of the city. Our waiter was Garrett and he really made our anniversary special, he went above and beyond as a waiter and we are so thankful to him for making today special. When we go again I will
100% be asking for Garrett again.

What an incredible night. From the moment we sat down with a view over the entire city skyline, this place delivered on every level.

We started with the caviar service — beautifully presented on a charred ceramic base with fresh orchids and ice, just a gorgeous way to kick off the evening. The oyster platter that followed was ice-cold and perfectly shucked, with classic mignonette and all the fixings. Cocktails were excellent too — a well-balanced Old Fashioned and a clean, ice-cold dirty martini, both beautifully garnished.

For mains, we went all in: the Prime Rib Eye was rich, perfectly charred, and cooked exactly to temp, while the Filet Mignon was melt-in-your-mouth tender — hands down one of the best steaks I've had in ages. Pairing the surf and turf with lobster was the right call; the sweetness of the lobster played perfectly against the richness of the beef.

The room itself deserves its own mention — a stunning white grand piano under a cascading crystal chandelier, floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the city lights at night. It's a special-occasion kind of place, but honestly worth it even on a random Tuesday.

Impeccable service, incredible food, unbeatable views. Already planning my next visit. Highly recommend for date night, celebrations, or just treating yourself.

Phenomenal place. Best food i've ever had. Greatest service i've ever had. The one thing I could complain about is that we were seated near a spot where I believe all of the dirty plates and silverware were stacked so occasionally there would be an extremely loud and unpleasant clanking of plates and silverware behind us

Happy hour was great

I normally don’t write reviews, but I had no choice after one of the best dining experiences of my life at The Signature Prime Steak & Seafood.

This steakhouse is located on the top floor of the Ala Moana Hotel, offering stunning views and an amazing ambiance with live piano music. The food and especially the service was impeccable.

Our waiter, Peter, was one of the best I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. He was incredibly kind, knowledgeable about the menu, and made excellent recommendations, all of which were superb.

We ordered the lobster bisque, grilled asparagus, mushroom risotto, and prime rib steak, which, to my surprise and delight, came with truffle mashed potatoes on the side.

The pricing is very fair, and from beginning to end, our dining experience was fantastic. I left feeling extremely satisfied.

Shoutout to Peter once again for making our night in Hawaii truly memorable.

We love this restaurant, and the food and table service were absolutely incredible. However, the front-of-house experience with Jane was a major letdown. She was quite rude when I called to make our reservation, but I figured she was just having a bad day and brushed it off. Unfortunately, on the night of our dinner, she was even ruder in person and gave my wife an uncalled-for attitude over a simple question.
When you are spending $300+ for a nice dinner, you expect professionalism and a welcoming environment, and I did not appreciate how she spoke to my wife. Shoutout to our phenomenal server and the other sweet hostesses who saved the night and made the rest of our experience flawless. Jane's behavior really cast a shadow on what should have been a perfect evening—management seriously needs to address Janes customer service, because no guest should be treated that way.

OMG, I thought I had done my review for this fantastic fine dining restaurant. Well, without further ado...

Let me just say this was such a wonderful experience! Hubby and I came to Hawaii to celebrate our honeymoon. We stayed in this hotel and this restaurant is on their top floor (36th floor) so we had planned dinner reservations in advance to come here on 12/9/23. They were kind enough to seat us right by the window where the view was AMAZING!! It was still daylight when we were seated and then when it turned into night, the views with all the lighting was indescribable!

Everything about this restaurant was wonderful. From the impeccable service, to the delicious food (especially the surf & turf), to the live piano player (we conversated with him when we finished our dinner, so engaging) which made it romantic to the beautiful Christmas decor in the place, it made for a wonderful evening. We made sure to take a picture by the tree and that picture actually we used for our Christmas cards last year.

If you want an amazing experience and really want to impress someone, definitely come here. We will never forget our dining experience here. It's in our top five dining experiences (and we've been to many so that's a big deal)

Lived up to our expectations. Actually exceeded expectations. Opens for happy hour at 4:30 for the dedicated elevator. Line was already there at 3:30. No reservations are accepted for happy hour. Good time to be there if you want a good view. There were seats at the bar also. Look at the Happy Hour menu. My wife had the $32.95 prime ribeye plus a little extra for a salad. I had a steak tips with mushrooms and onions for $10. There was another menu with happy hour prices that had my steak tips on it and the reduced beer and wine prices. Compared to other restaurants I don’t think the drinks were discounted much but I did have a beer for $7.
The views of the ocean were excellent and you could even see the top edge of Diamond Head. Live piano music started at 6 PM just as we left.
