Tucked away (really tucked away we had to call the restaurant and a waitress came out to wave us over from the parking lot) and small, Threadfin was absolutely delicious. We shared the bread and a salad to start, nothing fancy, but great flavors, high quality ingredients. My jindori chicken over risotto was excellent, my husband's crab curry noodles were insanely good. A quick uber from the Waikiki hotels, totally worth seeking out.
Intimate bistro setting. Service is excellent. Unfortunately, the acoustics of the dining area are not so good -- we couldn't hear ourselves over the loud group seated next to us. The food was uneven -- the salad of bitter greens was delicious; the seared hamachi was a bit overcooked and dry; the desserts were very good. Nice array of drinks.

I wasn’t sure what to expect before coming in, but ThreadFin completely went higher than anything I was expecting.
I had a very expensive, not so good steak the night before at Morton’s, and thought maybe it was hard to get good beef on the island.
The steak here was SO good! I also tried my wife’s beef ribs and they were equally delicious.
I have definitely found my favorite restaurant on the island!!

Absolutely phenomenal food with an amazing atmosphere. The craft drinks are expertly made and the staff is so welcoming. I would recommend this restaurant to all my favorite people. Thank you chef Jason for the experience, worth every penny!! (I meant to take a picture but I ate it too fast.)

I had an incredible finding experience that exceeded my expectations. The moment I discovered the hidden gem on Kapahulu Ave, it felt like uncovering a treasure. The process was exciting and rewarding, filled with discovery and surprise. It truly was one of the best dinner so far.

The abalone app was excellent.
A unique food experience you need to experience several small dishes on the menu plus excellent selection of wines, seating is limited and reservations a must!

Jason and his team have a love for food and attention to detail that really sets Threadfin apart. Getting to taste some deeply thoughtful dishes in a such lovely, intimate space was a highlight of our recent trip home; it is well worth making time for a visit. Until next time!

This is a cute small restaurant tucked away in a plaza. Enter thru the back and BYOB, most people bring a cooler with wine. The atmosphere is very nice and quaint, and it is a dining experience you won’t want to miss!

Loved the food here at Threadfin! Small quaint bistro located at Kilohana Square, just make to enter from the rear. The prefix menu selection was great! I do highly recommend getting the escargot but it’s with Kona abalone as a starter which is an add-on but with the cognac butter sauce was amazing!

Fab Food , good service, cozy atmosphere. Glad we don't have to go to Kailua for it. Open since Sept ’23. Lovely restaurant, I hope many you venture out and try it! Chef J is so talented with Seafood. Remember to email or call for a reservation!

Great spot. Food was immaculate. Service was prompt. Price was reasonable. Portions are petite, so make sure you get 1-2 of the add-on appetizers.
I do like that the menu is constructed that way though. I rather Threadfins lower price point with the option to add to the fixed menu, compared to most other places that give too much food pre fixe but also charge a lot more. The quality of the experience makes me WANT to return, but having an approachable price point with the option to add will ALLOW me to return many, many more times.
