There and 5+ different Mexican restaraunts in Kailua town and I would drive to Tight Tacos in Kaimuki to get my fix because they are that good. When it comes to authentic Mexican food, a lot of places attempt, but Tight Tacos is one that truly hits the mark and sets the standard in Hawaii.

Who can resist $3 street tacos, all day every Tuesday or at happy hour. I've been to this place a couple of times. They have good fish tacos, but my wallet and stomach enjoys $3 street tacos on Tuesdays.
Beef, pork, chicken and i think a vegetarian one is your only options. For sauce the red one is delicious with everything. The sauce, lime and pickled onions are all self-serve.
Highly recommend.
Service was good. The restaurant atmosphere is good...

I’m usually too lazy to leave reviews but I felt a personal responsibility to get on here and give them some praise. I got the 2 taco plate- carne asada and fish taco. The flavors were on point, meat was tender. There was a self serve station with fresh salsa and toppings. The staff was kind and the background music was pleasing. There’s a big need for more tasty Mexican food on Oahu and Tight Tacos is crushing it!
