Great service!
This place is amazing, great prices for the food and service provided. Would recommend coming with a few people to ensure you can try everything you want from the menu.
Maggie is very nice
Absolutely loved my experience at Tim Ho Wan Waikiki!
The food was phenomenal — every dish was fresh, flavorful, and served piping hot. The baked BBQ pork buns are truly a must-try — perfectly crisp on the outside and savory-sweet inside. The shrimp dumplings and siu mai were just as impressive — delicate, juicy, and authentic.
The service was fast and friendly, even during a busy evening. The staff made us feel welcome and made great recommendations. The atmosphere is casual but clean and modern, a perfect spot to enjoy high-quality dim sum without any fuss.
Whether you’re a dim sum veteran or trying it for the first time, Tim Ho Wan Waikiki is a gem. I’ll definitely be back!
Good indoor design, food is good, staff friendly
I believe earning a Michelin star requires not only exceptional food quality but also outstanding service. However, I never seem to experience that Michelin-level service here, which is a little disappointing. Maybe the timing of my visit was off? I'll give it another try at a different hour.
Unexpectedly, Tim Ho wen doesn't have to queue in Honolulu, unlike the crazy queues in Asian countries.
There aren't many dishes, there's no roast item today ( like duck ) and no rice rolls, but the food is quite delicious, like Yangzhou fried rice is great!
Shrimp dumplings, Sui Mai , steam ribs all good ! At least all items are better than SF Bay Area and same price .
I come here everytime when I visit Oahu
This is my first time since its renovation. The environment is way better than previous. 👍👍
Food was food. The pan fried noodles had absolutely no flavor. Nothing was bad. All was edible. But pretty expensive for it to be flavorless and have to put soy sauce on everything.

Restaurantji Recommends
Tim Ho wan serves dim sum type and they are doing it well. Everything tastes fresh. The spare ribs taste peppery and well balanced, the chicken wing very flavorful, the shiu mai is very fresh and the string bean is perfectly cooked. The restaurant is on the small side. I don't think a wheelchair can maneuver easily. The staff is very friendly. Warning through the icea tea is not refillable. But overall is good experience.

Went with a friend who’s very picky with food, everything we ordered were authentic and fresh, very happy to have such great food on new year eve, price is not high for Waikiki, highly recommended.

Food was as good as it should be and the new decor was bright and welcoming, much better than the previous old and cramped location. However, their service was inconsistent. Some staff were very attentive and hard working (one guy in black uniform was doing most of the work) while some walk around looking down so they don’t see clients trying to get their attention. The restaurant wasn’t full and a line formed only when we were mid-meal. Room for improvement in their service.
