Ate here with my two daughters and felt compelled to leave a review.
The food is amazingly good, like seriously the best and most wholesome meal we have eaten in Hawaii, the restaurant is on the small side and does get very busy and I believe that a booking is required.
Overall it has a great vibe.
A big shout out to the staff who are very welcoming and our lovely waitress on the evening who provided outstanding service.
This is definitely a must do dinner destination on your visit to Waikiki.

This review is only for the hosts and service.
This place deserves a 1 star service.
We came in around 7.30 pm on Thursday night. The restaurant was a bit full but no line, the first host was a bit hard to understand but said to go to the other side. We did and the second host said only counter was available when there was a big table that could be separated to make room available as well. We said we could wait for a table but they kept insisting only counter was available. Instead of being accommodating and letting us wait or do something.

From business owner to owner, you have lost out on a lot of customers as there are many Japanese options in Waikiki. We have read other reviews with the same complaints about service and we wanted to give this place a chance. However, the problem is still there and is completely ignored by management.

I dined out in the last three days and ordered draft beer every time, Ginza is the only place gave an iced cold beer. Tonkatsu was great; it’s somewhat expensive, but I was one of the best tonkatsu I had. We didn’t even get to order the special one…

This isn’t your run of the mill tonkotsu from LL. Was the food good? Yes, my first bite was tender and juicy and the curry sauce made it melt in my mouth. Is it pricey? Also yes, because the meat is a special breed for marbling according to the menu. If it’s a special occasion or you are splurging then it’s worth checking out.

Tasty tonkatsu and refillable salad/rice/miso, though if you do refill, expect to be quite full. They also have a kid's menu.

Very good experience. The food was excellent and the service exceeded my expectations. The waiter was a genius when he gave me the cup of hot tea after I finished my meal.

Lunch specials are a great deal! Tasty tonkatsu and nice atmosphere. Though it might be chilly if you are seated below the air vent.

This restaurant actually has advanced reservations and ordinary civilians (no reservation required). I wonder what the difference is? However, the food is really good, 👍

The special tenderloin katsu was divine! Everybody likes theirs in their own way but plain with just extra lemon was by far one of the best Katsu I've had in months. A true hidden gem!

Absolutely amazing restaurant. Loved the saki flight and the katsu. Visiting the area, but will come back. One of the best dinners in Waikiki.

In Waikiki, where parking is bad, you can use the nearby Bank of Hawaii visitor parking for free for 90 minutes! The lunch special was inexpensive, and the tonkatsu set meal was delicious. What's more, in Hawaii, where prices continue to rise, you can get free refills on rice, miso soup, and cabbage! ! ! I was very impressed with the staff's service! However, there was no mention of the Kamaina discount on the menu, and when I went out after paying, I learned of the 20% Kamaina discount from the sign. I was satisfied with the meal, but I felt like I lost out after the meal, so my rating is 4.6 stars.
