Life-altering pork loin! It will truly be difficult to eat tonkatsu elsewhere after dining at Ginza Bairin.

I was finally able to check out this place! It’s quite difficult to make a reservation here and it’s reservation only. Good to experience but not worth the hassle. The pork tonkatsu was crispy and juicy, definitely the highlight of the meal. Service was friendly, but not the most attentive. I had to flag them down to request refills on the set menu items. The restaurant is dirty though. Floors weren’t mopped and flies were everywhere. Most of my meal involved me goaltending like Ryan Miller trying to prevent the flies from scoring a goal: my meal. Given the price of the food and the difficult process it took to even get a seat here, expectations were certainly higher. I would recommend this place if you absolutely need to have good tonkatsu on the strip. If not, there better options elsewhere.

This restaurant is somewhat overrated, but food is not bad. Very pricey. I wanted to try the most popular menus in Ginza, it wasn't available. $40 to $50 per food? Um...still dont know for money worth.

It tastes so good, I forgot to take the first impression photo because I was so eager to eat as soon as the food is served.

Made a reservation for 5 people at 6:00 PM, was a few minutes behind seating us but not a big deal. Ordered the Specialty Thick Cut Pork Loin Katsu set which was delicious. I'm a fan of both pork and chicken katsu's and felt the quality was worth it. Note the specialty orders they only carry so much per day. Late Dinner times might not have any left.Any Katsu set comes with unlimited Miso Soup, Cabbage, and rice. Had at least 1 refill of each side which was perfect for me after being in the sun and hiking all day.Would recommend a reservation for any party bigger than 2. Saw some folks ordering take out. We did not park here as our hotel was 1 mile away and decided to walk instead of taking the rental car.

We ordered a tonkatsu set and donburi bowl, both of which were absolutely delicious! The tonkatsu was very tender and crispy—a perfect balance. The donburi bowl was very flavorful; the egg, tonkatsu, and rice complemented each other well. Both sets came with sides of rice, salad, and miso soup, which come with free refills! Our favorite part with a fun, interactive touch with the tonkatsu sauce, which we’ll leave as a surprise. The waiters were very welcoming and attentive; they were constantly checking in with us!Do note that they no longer serve omurice (our server told us they removed it from the menu around a year ago ).

The fired pork is so goated! Also tried fried black tiger shrimp which is tasty. Good experience, will comeback again.

The service lady is conceited and obviously doesn't like tourists! The food wouldn't be so bad if it weren't for that Japanese woman!
