Came to try Tori Ton and it was so good! Make sure if you come to book a reservation as it can get really busy! Depending on what time you come there is usually street parking along King. We had a reservation and got seated straight away! Their yuzu draft beer was SOO good. I don't usually drink beer but i had to get another one! We ordered the chicken thigh, pork belly, and pork jowl skewers. My favorite was definitely the pork jowl, it was so tender! We also ordered the hamachi, which was also so good and had a very decent amount of meat. The service was great and everyone was so friendly~~

** be aware **

Food 4 stars -
Service 2 stars, maybe 3 depending who serves you. ( you will see )

You want more sauces ? Sure , you will see it on your bill.. surprise !!!

And the service probably wont get improvement since it’s family owned.

We went in with empty stomachs and came out with only half full stomachs…

We were 10 minutes early than our reserved time because we were all hungry. We were told by a female server that we could only order 2 skewers each dish because the kitchen was too busy. We were a party of 4 and only ordered around 10 items. Food came promptly after ordering the first round. We then ordered another 6 skewers. However, after half an hour wait, the food wasn’t here so we checked with the female server. It turned out that the second order wasn’t put through because the kitchen was busy at that time and she held our orders and forgot to put them in later. We were speechless when we found out. The female server wasn’t even sorry about this… she asked if we want to cancel them (as if more food order wasn’t welcoming). We were only half full at that point but we were too fed up so we just paid and left.

Since they don’t want more business, please consider before you go …

What a beautiful and fantastic place! The vibe is amazing and the food is great. Good drinks and great people. One of my favorite spots in Hawaii. I recommend all the meats. Come hungry and leave Happy!

Not first time here. Waiting 15 min to see the host. Waited another 5 for her to check the table. After all that, they gave the table away to another group who came after us.

Low-key fire yakitori spot - chicken skin’s got that smoky crunch, liver was perfectly medium rare, and karaage’s juicy and seasoned well. Highball goes down smooth. Chill vibes all around. Just make sure to book ahead, it gets packed fast.

This is mini Japan right here in Honolulu 🌺
Every dish is better than the next - order lots of dishes to share so you can taste it all 🥩 🍗 🥒 steak and chicken skewers were great to share and cucumbers delish!

Call ahead to make reservations- you will probably not get in without one! Uber if you can - limited parking ☀️🏝️🍣🔪🌺

Last call for food is around 9:55? Then you call yourself 11 pm one?! Interesting!

Check those 1 star reviews. They are grounded. Especially on the service.

Food is below average. Really bad service.

Food is just mediocre. Service is terrible.

If you are not Japanese, the service would be way off. I understand there is cultural difference and language barriers. But our waitress kept laughing with Japanese customers, while didn’t even bother to fake a smile for us, wearing a long face all the time. Our daughter even felt frightened.

If you are a tourist, avoid this place. You can feel you are not welcome here. There are much better places to try Japanese skewers at Oahu.
