We ate at Uncle Bo's Pupu bar in Waikiki on the second to last night of our 3 week stay, how I wish we had discovered this place sooner! The food was amazing we ordered 4 dishes off the Pupu menu which came out slowly allowing us to savour each dish, service was super friendly and for once we did not feel rushed to finish our meals and move on, which is how we often felt in the restaurants on the main Waikiki drag! Thanks Uncle Bo's we will definitely be back and will definitely tell our fellow Kiwis about your fab restaurant. Much aroha.

Came here with a party of people that recommended this place. They said it’s a staple and they come here almost EVERY week and let me tell ya…. I UNDERSTAND WHY!! The service is AMAZING! I wish I remembered the name of the young gentlemen with dirty blonde curly hair that’s upbeat and just a positive vibe to him that took care of like 12 of us! He was FAST & EFFICIENT with food when we had a limited time! I had the chicken Marsala pasta and I think it was easily the BEST PASTA I’ve ever had in my life. This place is amazing! Do yourself a favor, and dine in! This is a new *Favorite* on my list ?

Horrible experience for individuals with gluten free dietary restrictions. I ordered the chicken pesto pasta because my grandmother ordered the same dish, and it looked fantastic. So I ordered the chicken, pesto dish, gluten-free, and it was horrible. They basically served me pesto and water as a sauce, whereas the original dish is creamy. No effort to even make it as close to normal as possible. Waste of money and completely disappointing seeing as I specifically came here because of their extensive gluten free menu.I originally ordered their fresh fish dish that was baked in a garlic aïoli. I’m not kidding when I say that the aïoli they scooped on top of this fish was at least an inch and a half thick… It was a texture nightmare. I immediately sent it back.

First time eating here. Won't be the last. We were seated at the back dining area. It was less noisy than the front. Good variety of items to choose from, and we all found something to eat.

I am very disappointed after visiting this restraunt. I'm not sure how they have such a high rating. I was excited to try some of their pupu options. My husband got the sliders, and they were fine. I got the seafood ceviche, and it was not good. It was overly acidic and had no flavor. The dynamite shrimp, which is highly rated, was not great. It tated like it was shrimp you buy in the freezer section of Walmart. You do get a lot of shrimp, but the quality is bad. To top the bad quality of food, after I ate the last shrimp, I found a beard hair in the sauce.... disgusting. I didn't complain because i just wanted to leve. We did come to restraunt 45 minutes before close, and the hostess said it was last call for drinks. That was fine because we didn't want drinks. After eating our food, my husband wanted a dessert, and the server said that the last call was over and the kitchen was closed. We were confused because we thought last call was for drinks. So overall, the experience here was the worst we had while in Oahu.

Love the place. Super cool decor. First time for my wife and kids and they were impressed. The service attention was on point. The variety of the menu allowed everyone to get something they liked. We had a pizza, the Boca Rota, Oysters Rockefeller, Kalua fried rice, and the sliders.

Food and drink were good, but staff was unpleasant in rushing our party out of our table even when the place was just half full. Put a sour note on an otherwise good experience.

The true meaning of don't judge a book by its cover. This place hits all the wickets when it comes to food . The pupus , main course and drinks are all that. The dynamite shrimp was banging. The oyster shooters amazing the baked fish was amazing and the garlic mashed potatoes all wonderful. Again from the outside you would not expect what is on the inside . Wait staff was amazing!!!!!

Uncle Bo's is the best! Whether you are just in the mood for a bunch of pupus or full-on entrees, they have the best assortment of everything. Fantastic menu, great drinks, and atmosphere to boot. Service is top notch, and all our orders came out quick. Recommend reservations if you want a table because they're limited, but the bar is huge.
