Interesting. We rocked up to this restaurant last night at 7:30. They were busy but not too busy. We asked for a table. They said they aren't seating anymore for the night. They weren't supposed to shut til 9pm.

⚠️WARNING: a 20% gratuity fee was applied for a table of 5, as well as a 2% kitchen fee on top of that. And they charged us $3 for two small slices of extra bread for the bone marrow like?… If the business would be so kind to explain this predatory pricing it would be much appreciated. A 15%, NOT 20%, makes sense for a table of five. It was not a busy day at all as well. The staff were kind however.

The food was so mid I can’t believe the prices. Why were all the meat super overcooked and dry?!! There was so so much flavor lacking in the pastas - no spiciness or umami, little to no saltiness and sweetness. Genuinely I think all they used for seasoning was salt and pepper. And for a so-called fusion restaurant the only Japanese element they incorporated in these completely Italian dishes was Uni.

So, so utterly disappointed with this place and will never come back 👎

Came here for our anniversary and am so thrilled to have found a delicious pasta place close to home! The pasta hour is a great value. Indoor but open air atmosphere is relaxing. Service was attentive and friendly! Highly recommend the bread pudding, wagyu bolognese, and limoncello meringue cocktail.

Service was outstanding! Food and drinks were great, my favorite dishes were the risotto and bread pudding. If you parked in the garage ask for the QR code to scan for discounted parking. Make a res before you go! Wednesday drinks are half off for women :)

We waited far too long to try Vein, but it's absolutely in our regular rotation now. The overall experience was fantastic. The menu had several dishes that sounded great and they have something for everyone. We really enjoyed our cocktails and they have an extensive list. I tried to order the osso buco but they had sold out, so the waitress recommend the lamb chops and she nailed it. They were the best lamb chops I've had- very tender and flavorful. My partner got the risotto fungai and it was delicious- perfectly cooked. Desert was solid. Vibes were great. Definitely worth dealing with the pains of parking at Salt. 4.5/5 overall!

Lamb is very tender and well cooked. Mushroom risotto and crème brûlée are delicious too! Will definitely come back to try other dishes.

The food at this establishment was impressive. We tried the Lobster and Avocado Potato salad - a unique dish that would appeal to anyone seeking creative cuisine. The Risotto Funghi was equally delicious and worth ordering. Their drink selection offered original options that complemented our meal nicely. The pricing felt reasonable for the quality received.

The only drawback was the restaurant's layout. Despite having available tables, the space felt disorganized. There appeared to be unused appliances and miscellaneous items cluttering the counter areas near the kitchen, which also rendered the bar seemingly non-functional. It's unclear whether they're still settling in, rearranging their setup, or simply haven't fully utilized the space effectively. For all I know, they had a leak or something and had to move things around.

Excellent and fast service, portions a bit small but fair for the fixed menu. A bit louder and more kid friendly than I expected. Not a bad thing, just wouldn’t go for a special occasion

Recently been pretty busy here for lunch !
They have like 6-7 lunch specials starting at around $17. It includes a small salad and focaccia bread.
Tbh the uni pasta was the worse out of all the choices. It's tasteless and the uni tasted kind of weird/spoiled . The curry and hamburger steak are pretty bomb.

Amazing food and drinks! Cute little spot in Kakaako

Big shout to our server -Andrew. When making reservations online, I added that we were celebrating a birthday. Andrew couple days prior to the appt, reached out to me letting me know ahead of time that they didn’t serve dessert during lunch, and that he let me know if I wanted to bring in a cake they would provide candles and utensils,etc. That was no issue for me, just wanted to have a nice lunch. Food was really great! But Andrew made it special with a nice surprise by presenting my birthday friend a fancy fruit cocktail dish with a candle. He’s so attentive and can tell he’s a nice guy! Little acts like that makes a BIG difference. Thank you for making my friends birthday lunch extra special!

Wir wurden nicht hereingelassen weil der Kellner meinte das Restaurant hat keine Tische mehr frei. Es waren offensichtlich nur 3-4 Tische besetzt. So wie auf dem Foto zu sehen. Als wir ihn darauf ansprachen meinte er sie nehmen Gäste nur mit Reservierungen an. Die Preise sind hoch und das Restaurant sieht nicht einmal so besonders aus.
