One of the best breakfast buffets! Great food, large variety, and incredible views and atmosphere! Staff is also super nice, helpful and attentive to details. Recommend to visit!

I made a reservation for dinner, but upon being seated, we were informed that the kitchen was closed. We were then asked to order pizza from room service instead. This happened on New Year’s Eve, and with guests visiting from Europe, the situation was incredibly embarrassing.

I went back for the first time in about 10 years, and this time I thought I would have an a la carte instead of a buffet, but instead of the buffet, I only had a continental breakfast, but everyone was kind and I had a great time.

Once our favorite place for a special celebrations, our experience Dec. 22 really dampened the Holiday Spirit. First we got the worst table poss. Like being on a busy traffic corner and we barely could see the ocean. This happens often when you are a couple and two elder women.
Also the service was very perfunctory and like being served by a robot.
Maybe they were under staffed. but this is no excuse for neglecting basic things in a tea service. The food was only passable- some items were good other items did not taste
freshly prepared.
My last visit.

The Moana Surfrider is the best place for afternoon tea. The setting on the veranda, overlooking the beach, is so beautiful. Service is always accommodating, though occasionally slow to check up on you. But each time I’ve gone to celebrate a birthday, they’d been generous with treats.
I love that there are many options for teas, including sets specifically for keiki, those with dietary restrictions, or if you want a burger to go along with your dainty desserts. The “Duke” set, which comes with a burger, fries, and onion rings in place of savory sandwiches, is only a few dollars more than the regular afternoon tea set, so I feel this is a great deal for those who may be hungrier. The burger itself is a great size, and comes with pipikaula, and I always end up eating only half.
Most recently when I dined, they gave me extras of each sweet! I was so delighted. Flavors of the sweets do change, but menu typically includes a macaroon, cream puff, tart, and a roll cake. Every sweet I’d tried was so good.
This place offers Kamaaina discount. They also offer free valet when dining. This is pricey, but well worth the food, service, and ambience.

Lovely space. Scones and duck confit were among the best things I have ever eaten in the world. Coconut cake and stollen not very good textures are off. Tea comes in thick cups so takes very long to cool to an acceptable temperature and leaves will be over steeped since you can’t remove them from the pot. Pots will scald you. Staff is very kind and omiyage is nice. Will return for dinner

In Honolulu, I always come to "The Veranda" whether I'm staying at Moana Surfrider or not. A dreamy breakfast. Pancakes and eggs Benedict are baked to order, and the sunny side up and omelettes are delicious.I want to go there and try them.

Great atmosphere on the beach front. A small bird at my feet. Japanese food such as rice, miso soup, natto, and salmon are available. Eggs Benedict has a unique taste with red powder. I recommend the pancakes🥞The tapioca-like fruit sauce is delicious. Waiters are kind.

Unfortunately, I would like to give one star due to the service provided by the server.
I had breakfast for the first time on September 23rd Hawaii time.
When the server took my order, I was asked if I could look at the buffet table, but since I had already decided before this trip that I would eat an omelet right before my flight home, I said no. I ordered for two people with my companion.
At that time, it was shown to my face that I had ordered blatantly cheap food.
One plate is $38, right?
Isn't this a luxury hotel?
Unfortunately, my companion couldn't speak English, so I did most of the communication, but at the last minute, while I was munching on the fries on the side, he suddenly brought me the bill. You can't speak even if you are placed on the table.
I believe that a server's job is to be attentive to customers, but do you feel comfortable leaving a gratuity to them?

We did the 4 course dinner; outstanding meal and great value on Waikiki. Pat (server) went above and beyond providing us with a memorable dining experience. My wife and I were celebrating our 26th anniversary with our children she brought us sparkling wine and shortbreads ?. Can't say enough good things about this place well worth the $$!
すばらしい景色、暖かいおもてなしで大変素晴らしい時間を過ごせました。 記念日だったので、シャンパンとショートブレッドもいただき感動です。ありがとうございました。
