Every single time I go to the veranda for breakfast or tea, I'm always greeted with a smile and superb service. I can't say enough good things about the folks who work there; they are what keep us coming back. Of course the food and the view are superb, top notch in fact. We love the surfrider and will continue to visit.

We had an amazing view here of people surfing on Waikiki beach and the banyan tree in the courtyard. The tea was delicious and they accommodated my food allergies that I informed them of in advance. Service was friendly and quick. This is the best tea service on the island.

We had Afternoon Tea at the Veranda and it was fantastic. Delicious food (and delicious gluten free option as well!) and wonderful tea all under the banyan tree. Would definitely recommend this experience.

I have never known such a messy, unprofessional, and unpleasant work environment as that of the staff at this restaurant. The tea was not particularly special, it was the same kind of tea you can get anywhere, and I did't think it was very good! The cakes tasted dry and soggy, as if they had been soaked in water! All in all, it was a terrible experience.

This was my first high tea experience and I was thoroughly impressed with everything including the atmosphere, presentation, selections offered, and especially service. Our server, Darren was amazing, extremely knowledgeable and friendly. He took great care of us and added to our wonderful time.

Loved it! Had a wonderful time with mom. First time here. We decided while we were here, to make it a regular outing. They offer kamaaina discount (we didn't even know) Top teir service, tea, food, ambience...overall experience! It was relaxing. So glad we finally decided to do this

I have been here several times over the past year for "high tea." It is always amazing, from the food & service to the beautiful ocean and courtyard views. We celebrated our anniversary with friend from out of state and everything was wonderful. We all chose the Moana Classic Tea with finger sandwiches, sweet offerings, tropical sorbet and tea (we each chose a different flavor). A few of my favorites (this time) were the Ratatouille Tart and the Smoked Salmon Mousse Blini, but I really enjoyed them all.Our friend has a food allergy and our server was very accommodating. He made other suggestions to some of the sandwiches and all of the "exchanges" were fabulous. Each time we have been, the menu has changed, although most of the tea's are the same flavors (only 2 or 3 have changed). The quality of the food is the same (5 stars)I would definitely suggest Moana Surfer Rider - The Veranda at the Beachhouse for all of your special occasions.Parking: The Valet parking is free with validation of "High Tea" service. Otherwise, there is parking across the street at International Market Place garage (I am not sure what the current rates are).

We enjoyed our tea service at Moana Surfrider's Veranda restaurant. We selected Royal Tea ($135, included mimosa flight & souvenir gifts) to share and Easter Keiki tea ($70, came with a souvenir teddy bear). It was very elegant, similar to tea experience we enjoyed in London many years ago. Mimosas were mostly on the sweet side vs. brut.... Sandwich selections were good but we would have preferred more white bread sandwiches vs. with croissant or tarte. Blueberry scones were great, served with lemon curd & butter-like cream (we prefer fresh whipped cream). Dessert selections were nice and we had some leftover to bring back to our hotel room.

This felt like a once in a lifetime experience. We had a phenomenal time celebrating a couple of birthdays and my upcoming wedding. It would have been a great time regardless because we were there with family we had not seen in months, but the Moana Surfrider was above and beyond any expectations we had!

The tea at the veranda is always special. This time we had 2 keiki with us and their was a special Easter tea with a “goodie” bag. It was the first time we tried the duke tea. It was a bug hit especially with the beer flight. Super thick burger! You can't beat the view and location. Service is always top notch.

We had ocean view and the beach was beautiful. Breakfast buffet was awesome. Thanks to my daughter in-law Rachel for surprising me with this breakfast buffet for my birthday.

I took advantage of the breakfast buffet. There were enough items to enjoy even if you stayed for several nights.Eggs Benedict is ok.The fruits are fresh and delicious.Pancakes seem to cost an additional fee (quite a bit), so I decided not to try them due to the volume.

Service was great. Hostess who checked us in was rude. We arrived a bit early and her tone was very unwelcoming. We arrived 20 minutes early and she told us to return “AT RESERVATION TIME!” Rolled her eyes and walked away. Not a good first impression. Finger sandwiches were not flavorful and not worth the $160 bill for 2 people. Salad was good. Note. When we did return “at reservation time”, she asked us to take a seat and she would call us when “a table was available”. We waited another 30 minutes for sub par food.

Veranda Afternoon Tea!! My friends and I were here for afternoon tea on Sunday and we loved it. They provided variety of the tea menus and we got the royal set for all of us. Everything was so good especially the local tea that you can only get here in Hawaii and nowhere else! And Ryan was taking care of us the whole time, very attentive and knowledgeable about food and drink here. Thumbs up!

Nice afternoon tea in a lovely setting. Afternoon tea is one of my favorite things to do on vacation. It was all quite nice. Not the best food I've had at other teas. Felt like a lot of the selections were from a package and not made there. We did enjoy our relaxation time on the veranda.
