We had a perfect quiet dinner. Although the temporary location is not as scenic, it is shady, breezy, and perfect for a quiet dinner away from the hustle and bustle of Waikiki. We look forward to the next round of upgrades to Kai La'i.

Bloom is a “hidden gem” tucked away in the Ka La'i Hotel located on the 7th floor. It's an outdoor type of restaurant. The weather that evening was perfect! Although it was a bit chilly (for Hawaii residents)! I had a sweater and that helped keep me warm! Although the menu was a bit limited, everything that we ordered was beautifully presented and tasted very good. My partner and I shared an appetizer of chicken wings which was seasoned just right and not too spicy. We also shared a salad (butter lettuce with edamame and won ton strips) For my entree I had the miso cod and my partner had the scallops. We ended the meal with macadamia nut vanilla ice cream and coconut sorbet. We were very fortunate that Daniel (our server) took care of us. He's the greatest with his winning personality and he's very customer focused! Very knowledgeable about the menu as well! We also had breakfast (buffet style) here a few months ago and that was excellent!

Daniel provided great service and checked in on us regularly. We shared several happy hour dishes, and they were all delicious.

We had a great time with my girlfriend. The food was awesome so as serving. Our server Daniel is such a professional and a very nice and pleasant person. We were literally the only table there so it had no noise at all .We would talk quiet and hear each other perfect.Would come back here again!

Gorgeous rooftop eating experience. Great food. When we went there Feb. 2026 there was hotel construction so we had to go in a back way and do a couple flights of service stairs. Still worth it. We'd don't again for the rooftop, service and quality of food.

Sally took really great care of us. Her service is outstanding! Also the sushi melted in your mouth! Delicious!

Bloom is on the back side of the building facing parking garages and high rises looking down on you. You don't see the park or the fireworks. To get to the restaurant you walk through service and kitchen areas. The menu has remained the same as waialou, that is $50 to $72 entrées. Since we were not expecting this we went and got taken. I'd like a refund. Advice to diners: don't make the same mistake.

There is renovation and the restaurant has been relocated. However it is a nice space, open on three sides. Service was very attentive and food tasty and pretty quick to come out.

It was a wonderful experience! The service was amazing. He was friendly, kind, made good recommendations and took care of us when the food was a little delayed. Overall a perfect was to spend NYE. It wasn't noisy and super crowded! The catch of the day was fresh and delicious! The scallops , wow!! Highly recommend!!

This is a must visit restaurant when in Waikiki, the menu is creative and savory. Our waitress was knowledgeable and was there as soon as you thought about our dinner. Make sure you're having dessert during the Waikiki fireworks show.

They are undergoing renovations so a bit tricky to get there, but once you do, it will be well worth it. The apps and the service were absolutely amazing!

It was after lunch but we got hungry and promised to just get a snack. The service and the food was so incredible that we ended up ordering meals as we wanted more. The wings on the Pupu menu were unreal.... We got them naked for the kids and sauced up for the adults. The flavor both ways were so good and they are pull the bone out tender. Wow! Sally, who took care of us, was the best. We would have had her pull up a seat and eat with us as ohana. Make sure to go! Look forward to going again after the renovation to experience this spot again.

Never heard of this restaurant but so glad we tried it. The happy hour (4-6pm) was a fabulous deal. We enjoyed the delicious sushi, refreshing drinks, and tasty desserts. They are converting the hotel now so it's rinky-dink to go through the hotel and down steps to get to the restaurant but worth the hassle. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a quality meal in Waikiki for a very reasonable price--for Oahu. It was our anniversary and then presented us with a free dessert...which was also very nice. Service was wonderful; they were constantly refilling our water glasses. Their suggestions helped us decide what to order. If you don't mind the inconvenience of a hotel under construction (restaurant was very quiet) we highly recommend.

The other evening, we stopped by, and the host was so pleasant and friendly. He is the reason we returned to have dessert. At first, we were just going to have dessert, but the server, Sally, was also so kind that we decided to have a whole meal. It was all so wonderful.

This restaurant has become one of our favorite restaurants in Waikiki. This time my husband and I brought my parents to celebrate their 50th anniversary who were in town to visit us for a month. Our waitress was attentive without hovering around and provided us with great food recommendations. We were able to take advantage of their pau hana deals for both drinks and pupus. We ordered the chips & dip, oysters, spicy tuna roll, California roll, and poke nachos from the pau hana menu. We also got the miso roasted black cod, miso soup, and the tamarind soy glazed seared ahi. Everything was really good, but the miso roasted black cod was definitely our groups favorite. The oysters were good, but definitely not great. We finished off our dinner with a complimentary dessert to celebrate and the Friday night fireworks. An absolutely wonderful evening. Mahalo nui loa!
