Came here for dinner two nights in a row. Very reasonable prices, great happy hour menu for cold appetizers, loved the Toki highballs. The hamachi sashimi was especially tasty. Every item we had was great and the service was excellent.

Every dish was delicious, but the prawn dish was a standout! The prawns were incredibly tender, with a perfect texture. I’ve tried over four different prawn dishes in Hawaii, and each one has been amazing.

Honestly I was really rooting for this place. At first the food was great until we got served RAW chicken and the butterfish was tough. So if you’re ordering raw foods, you should be set. If you’re getting cooked food, BEWARE and double check.

Amazing food and ambience — we got the beef tongue, sashimi trio, yakisoba, cucumbers, garlic shrimp and fried octopus. Every dish was perfectly executed and fresh. We left so full but so so so pleased! Surprised that it has so few reviews, must try. Service was a tad bit slow but they seemed to be low staffed. Didn’t affect the experience.

My wife and I ate here last night and we woke up talking about the food. This little unassuming place delivers a lot of flavor and choices.
We had:
- garlic pepper rice
- mochi gratin (two orders because omg)
- butabara pork belly
- shokudo roll
- hamachi carpaccio
- fried tofu
The Mochi gratin was unreal. So much flavor in a little dish. We will be back again before leaving the island.

Absolutely delicious! Everything was very authentic and we enjoyed it very much. The miso butterfish and karaage were spot on. I'd also highly recommend the tonjiro if you're a miso soup fan. The service was also great, very friendly and attentive!

Dishes were hit or miss. The steak was very tough and chewy, very disappointing. However, I really loved the miso butterfish and garlic pepper rice (which is a lot like Pepper Lunch). The jidori chicken was also quite good.
The tomato maki was weird. It had way too much tomato. There was a tiny amount of cheese inside it that I could not taste.
The cold sliced saba was alright for $5 happy hour price, but I would be pretty disappointed paying $13 for that.
I don’t know what happened with the steak, from the pictures and other reviews it seemed so good and I was really looking forward to it. But wow for $20, I could make steak at home that’s better. Maybe I should’ve gotten the Gyutan instead of the Ichibo steak.

Great food, great vibes, excellent service. Best Japanese food I've had on the islands. Their house mojito is delicious.
