Not worth the price…was more of a play on a real traditional luau. Dancers were good but they felt like the dances didn’t encompass the respect each Island deserves. Especially in comparison to other luaus like paradise cove & Polynesian cultural center/high level shows. Surprised the Hilton would present this type of entertainment. Maybe 50-75 a ticket may be more reasonable for this show. Never would have spend almost $300 per person x 4. Felt ripped off. Food, dessert & drinks not great. None of us really ate much, not even the dessert or drinks. No leis. Just not up to par. Feel bad leaving a bad review (I never do). Nothing against the dancers, they were skilled. Hilton leadership needs to review this & redo this show please? Was expecting the best or at least comparable. Maybe change the name to a light hearted, fun play & a shorter version luau or “our take” with a clearer description. Hopefully this is the only luau people see because it doesn’t honor the actual dances or Islands like it should. Sorry!

Unfortunately my family and I were not happy with this experience. At almost $200 per family member I expected a better experience. The food and ambience was not very good. Food was dry and flavorless with not too many options or authentic Hawaiian cuisine. Ambiance took place on a rooftop on Hilton village property. You were surrounded by high rise buildings with a stage in the middle, not very authentic for a Hawaiian Luau. We were not even provided with Hawaiian lei flower necklaces. Instead we had to stand in a line for flower bracelet. Make sure you move quickly though cause they only had line open for 10 min. I would recommend finding a different Hawaiian luau for an authentic experience.

So they want to charge you from 180-250 per person. To sit you on a rooftop parking lot. Shove a bunch of cheap buffet food and alcohol in you. Take a picture of you with a background of a bunch of hotels replace it with a fancy background and charge you 60+ dollars. If you were smart enough to read through one of the reviews, avoid this tourist trap at all costs. The dancers are fine, but remember you are going to be on top of a parking lot....

D + | Roof top was something different and performers were on par. For the price point, there were many let downs. Food was atrocious (meat was dry/old, heat lamped). The progression was unique. Main host would give a briefing (story) before each performance (dance) for a total of around 6. A more clear example is before a Tonga dance ritual the host would talk about the background of it for a few minutes. So it was constant performance and stopping which made me feel disconnected at least. Not much audience involvement. Ultimately, very bougie and felt disconnected from the story/performance. Not as great as other luaus.

The Luau was fun but not what I expected. We had VIP tickets so I thought we would be sitting at tables facing stage, it said in the first 2 rows. It was lest up more like a wedding with long tables perpendicular to the stage with hundreds of people 😞food was ok, drinks were terrible. Definitely was not the more intimate setting that I thought it would be. Disappointing.

My husband and I attended the Hilton Hawaiian Village Friday Night Luau on April 11, 2025. We paid over $300.00 for show only tickets and we were extremely disappointed. With other patrons with show only tickets, we were seated at the very back of the buffet tables and literally had no view of the show which was performed on a grass mound (not on a stage facing the lagoon). Everyone was standing in the aisles taking pictures and where we were located, we could only see the heads of the performers. We noticed that many people by the lagoon were watching the show for free and had a better view than we did.
The fireworks show is free to all so you are not paying for this in the price of your tickets.
Save your money! If you want to see the show, watch it for free by the lagoon.

Don’t waste your time here — it’s definitely not worth the price or what you get in return.
The food is really, really bad.
The staff is very nice and do try their best,
but the event feels way too crowded and mass-produced. It seems like they’re just doing the bare minimum to be able to call it a Luau.

Servers, dancers and mic were good. The show was a shell of what it was last time we were here. Also, the show wasn’t on the lawn it was on a parking garage rooftop which is ok but not the save environment as being on the lawn by the beach. I would go somewhere else next time.

The food was excellent. The show was great but wish it lasted a little longer for the price. On the whole I enjoyed it’

The show was great but everything felt rushed from activities to time allowed for eating. We paid for Diamond and still waited in a line for awhile. People not in diamond had food before so it’s not worth it unless you have small kids that wouldn’t be able to see well in the back. My biggest complaint is they didn’t monitor adults taking kids buffet so when my daughter got to eat - they said sorry the food is finished and it’s because the adults ate it. They didn’t offer anything else. If they don’t have enough for everyone - they should monitor it. After the ticket price, I had to still get her dinner afterwards.

Not worth the price. Dancers were good, but more emceeing than performance. The finale fire show was great but was so short duration that it was over before you know it. If you have bought the gold package , you are seated farthest from the stage and hence you don’t get much of a view too. To add insult to injury anyone in the vicinity of the arena can see the show for free with a better view than the gold seating. So what am I paying for, the food? That’s average at best. Drinks are just bogus options. Even simple things like diet sodas are not there. The children price was also not worth at all with just some tots, corn and small meatballs and teriyaki chicken. Adult food had options but nothing unique or superb tasty.

If you are staying at Hilton Waikiki village don’t pay for it, just hand around the oasis on show days and see for free.

My younger kid of 3 year was free but total for me, wife and elder kid of 8 years it was $650 with taxes and tips, definitely not worth it. I can extend my resort stay for 2 more days at that price.

Also as others have said, it didn’t feel authentic luau as seen in YouTube and all.

Just just skip this experience.
I’m so sad that I didn’t read reviews in details before purchasing tickets.

Vegetarian options: Almost insignificant vegetarian options.

My family of 5 thoroughly enjoyed the show. The emcee was very entertaining and it was overall a great experience! The timeline posted was inaccurate. We arrived at 4:50 with the expectation of the doors opening at 5. Doors opened at 5:33.
