I grew up in this neighborhood, this is the only place I would purchase shaved ice. Simple small with ice cream and azuki beans with high school colors "red and blue ".Many of my childhood friends still remain perimeters from McCully Bike, Makahiki Way then turn on Waiola st. Memories of yesteryear... The flavors & menu of Waiola Shave Ice are far too many, NOT TO MENTION THE TEXTURE OF FROZEN ICE! Will melt in your mouth!!!!!!!!!

The Waiola location (also the original location) is a local shave ice favourite right outside the heart of Waikiki (about 30 mins walk or 8 mins drive).  I would recommend driving over if you're a visitor since it isn't in close proximity to any other notable/tourist spots. The shave ice business is a walk-up window on the side of the Waiola store. They offer a wide range of flavour combinations and sizes, and you can add toppings like mochi balls, condensed milk, and azuki beans.  I ordered a small shave ice with passion fruit and coconut cream syrup, and quite enjoyed it. The flavours were refreshing, and the shave ice had a nice fluffy texture. The service here was quick, and there's some benches along walls outside the shop if you don't want to take your treat to go.

The good food (shave ice) was so delicious! The flavors just melt in your mouth. You can choose rainbow ice cream bowl for $4 or the Akuzi Beans Bowl which is also popular! The service is so quick they have multiple workers at the window, keep in mind there’s constantly a line. There’s benches to sit on and great for picture taking to create memories for the kids! Kids love this place! You can mix and match the flavors as well and also choose to put like li hing mui topping on top as well!! Must have!Parking: Street parking or can park at the Public park across and walk there

I went on foot from Waikiki. It took over 30 minutes, but I'm glad I went. It was crowded with locals and tourists from America. I ordered the Azuki Rainbow. The ice was fluffy and delicious. The nostalgic atmosphere of the shop was very comfortable. There are benches outside, so I sat down and enjoyed my shaved ice. There was a shop like a candy store next to the shop, which was also nice. It's in an inconvenient location, so you might want to go by Uber or bicycle.

I’m very upset. I bought an ice cup with ice cream and it was priced as $2.50, then the Asian man charges me 4.00, I’m mad because on the sign it says $2.50 and he clearly ripped me off. Also my sister ordered a shave Ice and she wanted mochi balls, the lady cashier said there was no more mochi balls but we clearly saw the fresh mochi balls and they decided to speak Chinese.I’m also very upset because he said $4.00 for the ice cup and he gave me $0.50 cents. I clearly got ripped off and I’m very dissatisfied with my experience here. They seem to rip me off or charge me extra every time I come here. Please do your customers right and stop false advertising saying it’s a cheaper price but it’s more expensive.

This is the 3rd shaved ice we went to. The large bowl was around $5 but the portion was quite small. Also the flavor was not as good as the other ones I have been to. They save on the toppings.

Ok...my kids said this, not me.The keiki and small sizes are hilariously small. The keiki was "like the mini Dixie cup at the dentist."Ice is too fine, just tastes mushy.Limited add-ons if you don't get a large size. The area is kind of sketch.Service was fast. And it wasn't too sweet.
