This place is an absolute GEM! My wife and I dined there on our first of 9 nights in Waikiki. We are already rearranging our dinner docket to find a night to go back! They truly lived up to all of the incredible reviews that we've read about them. If we could give them a 10, we would...because they are!

We had 4 people and ordered some appetizers, sushi, sashimi, and 2 of their 3 signature/hot dishes. All were delicious. The server was also very helpful in recommending the sake that suit us (only 2 of us can drink alcohol). The dining experience was very good, and it cost about $70 per person, tax and tips included. We will definitely come back in the near future.

Very authentic japanese flavors! Grilled dishes were wonderful, especially eggplant and squid. Upon leaving we made another reservation for two nights following to try more offerings.

Tucked away in an inconspicuous hotel off of a quiet side street in Waikiki, this place is a nice & quiet place for great and interesting Japanese food. The place is not fancy but in its own way, incredibly charming. The food is great and creative. Everything we ordered tasted great.

Excellent sushi restaurant. Food, service & atmosphere. Lianne was friendly, knowledgeable & very helpful in all aspects of her responsibilities. We liked it so much last week we came again this week!

Wasabi Bistro is one of those gems you can sometimes find hiding in cities or tucked away in a countryside. It has the feel of a family-run business in Japan with concentration on quality of the items they serve along with exemplary service. This was my first visit to the restaurant where I'd brought along my daughter and our two grandchildren. They were very accommodating for our two young ones and us! The food there is right out of Japan with amazing quality. Don't forget to check out their daily specials and otoro as they're as good as they get.

Wasabi Bistro is an intimate restaurant with only about ten tables, so reservations are strongly recommended. It is conveniently located within a walking distance from downtown Waikiki. We ordered rolls & shrimp tempura as appetizers (spicy tuna $9, cali roll with real crab for $18) but found these rolls to be much smaller and didn't find the cali roll to be much different and it wasn't worth spending extra for the real crabmeat. The shrimp tempura was perfectly cooked with light & crispy texture. The serving size for chicken teriyaki was much larger than expected and salmon teriyaki was cooked to perfection, so tender & great value. We ordered set menu which included salad, rice & miso soup. It was a nice dining experience and the service was excellent!

This is a fabulous little sushi restaurant tucked away off the beaten path. All the rolls and poke were delicious. The staff was attentive and informative about all the wonderful options. The only downside was that it was very warm in the restaurant. Each breeze that we felt come through the door was very welcomed.Out of the 5 sushi restaurants we ate at in Honolulu, this was definitely the freshest and best we had during our visit!

If you're looking for that classic Japanese vibe this is the spot. Everyone is very friendly, speaking English or Japanese, I felt like I was back in Japan.

What a treasure; the staff is exceptional, the food delicious and while tiny it was not noisy and we didn't feel crowded . We had a variety of dishes, shared and neither of us could find fault with any of the dishes. Plan to stop by again before our vacation ends!

I’ve been fortunate to eat sushi in many places around the world (including Japan) and this is the best I’ve ever had. The fish was so fresh and everything was perfectly prepared. We loved it so much we went back a second time in the same week!
