This place is a favorite of my parents'! Everything is vegan, and since it is all cooked already and you're just picking what you want (like a Panda Express or Chipotle), it is also very quick! The starch base (noodles or rice) is always two scoops, so my parents like to get half & half (one scoop of each) for extra variety. I'm a noodle person, so I got noodles. The menu outside of that changes around, I think daily, but I don't think I have had anything from here that I didn't like! The veggie pancake they had on this last visit was especially tasty! My non-veg husband finds the food very filling, but otherwise likes it as well. The decor is relatively spartan but modern, like an upgraded cafeteria, and the workers and patrons do a pretty good job of keeping it all clean. Also, there's a couple of cold cases in the back where you can buy vegetarian mock meats and other items, which is worth checking out. My Mom and I are both big fans of their vegan rou song (shredded dried pork floss). We come here at least once every time we visit my parents, so safe to say I'll be back. Looking forward to the next visit!
A real gem! Great vegetarian food, and the ladies who work there are so kind. Try to get there before the lunchtime rush for best options!
Best vegetarian restaurant in Honolulu! They have buddhist friendly options!!
Update: we’ve been coming here every week since our “discovery”. Each time we tried something different and tasty. Today I had 羅漢齋and 三杯「素」雞. This is by far the best vegetarian cafe in Honolulu.
Note: if you’d like some sponge cakes ($2 each) or Japanese cheesecake ($10) , then you will need to be there before 11:30 a.m. For two days in a row I waited too long and was unable to buy any.
We stumbled upon this gem on our way back to Waikiki and didn’t realize it was operated by the volunteers from Foguan Shan (佛光山), a non-profit Buddhism organization. We’ve been to Foguan Shan in California and have eaten at their food hall countless times. We arrived just before closing so the choices were limited, but nonetheless all the food we had was very tasty as you can feel the efforts the volunteers have put into the food here. The chow main was very good and the veggie balls were excellent. Next time we need to come earlier and try its other choices. The sitting area was clean and comfortable. The volunteers were kind and friendly.
Afterward, we took a quick tour of its place of worship upstairs, which is highly recommended to all who hasn’t been there yet.
We love water drop and the kind staff who manages it. Every dish is thoughtfully made with health in mind and I have loved every thing I tried. I’m pretty sure everything (food-wise) is vegan, but some drinks are vegetarian like the Thai tea (which you can request to be made vegan instead). I wish Water Drop was open on weekends but I get that their clientele is primarily city workers.
Never rated anything before. This place has incredible homely food with decent portion size. Amazing people. Wonderful quaint temple above. Just happened to find this while looking for vegetarian food. Don't miss walking upstairs to the temple.
As a vegan this place is heaven. Only complaint I have is that they are only open for such a short time.

Staff offered to do half/half of the starch - half stir fried noodles and half rice. Both were so flavourful and went with all the sides I picked (all of which were delicious!) signs didn't specify which sides were vegan vs just vegetarian.
This place reminds me of the vegan bento places in taiwan and my mom’s Taiwanese home cooking. I love that the food isn’t overly salted or oily. Only wish was that the hours wasn’t only m-f 11am to 2pm ? I came by quickly for lunch during work to be able to try it! They have dairy and egg in some of their pastries but they’re mostly vegan spot. Parking is tough… meters around the building. But 100% worth it if you’re in the mood of lighter Chinese food fare… or miss home cooked meals! Staff is super friendly!

Just popped in here for lunch while on a walk and omg! I’ve found it tougher to find good vegetarian food here. This place was amazing and gives you so much food for the price. What a hidden gem! Highly recommend.
