Lobster Tacos.. they look appetizing on the menu pic, but what I got back was not even close. Lobster under melted cheese.. I even found potato in the “chowder drizzle”… I was hopeful, but I gotta say it was a fail.

On a weekday in December 2024, I went to the food court on the 2nd floor of Royal High Way Ancenter for a light lunch. Pass the lobster roll Meal (drink set) Shrimp Basket(+Coke) 23.49$ Order. I sat down at the food court and stared at the bell for 13 minutes... 13 minutes is a long time for a food court lunch 😅 The shrimp are crisp👍 However, the shrimp and potatoes were both fried too much today.

I wanted to like this, after passing it by for the last 2 months. But, I can only say it was ok.
I got the Lobster Mac & Cheese with the garlic bread bowl. The lobster was good, overall very good for a fast food location. The Mac & cheese was ok, no additional thrills, just kinda like a white cheddar shells and cheese. The bowl could have added so much! But, after paying $3.49 extra for the garlic bowl, I tasted almost zero garlic. The little I did taste was on the bread top, there was no discernible garlic on the entirety of the bowl.
It’s a pass for me moving forward.

This place was great and the food tasted amazing.
We tried the Maine lobster rolls and clam chowder. The rolls were something I had tried before elsewhere and was familiar with what I was expecting. It was a soft and buttery roll and was not disappointed. It could have been packed a little more with lobster but that didn’t hinder the meal. The fries were probably the best fries we have had in all of Waikiki. Extremely well flavoured and were soft and crunchy.
The clam chowder was the gamble we took and tried it and I must say it was great. Didn’t really know what to expect but it tasted like a creamy fish soup, doesn’t sound appealing to many but trust me it was a great. Well flavoured.
The only downside to this place, and hence the 4 stars was the price. We spent almost $80USD for 2 roll meals and clam chowder. This would equate to over $100 AUD. If you can move past this point, it’s worth trying.
Staff were great and both ladies were helpful and kind. There is also unlimited refills here.
Overall, 4/5 purely based on pricing.

I don’t like that my review was removed. IT MUST BE TRUE THEN THIS PLACE HAS ROACHES- the employees were told to still use product that roaches were crawling on!! MY FAMILY GOT SICK EATING HERE. We heard about the roaches AFTER dinner when asking for a refill. BEWARE
Decent Maine Lobster roll. Plenty of lobster on a nicely buttered toasted bun. Butter only I thought was good. Fries seasoned well with Old Bay seafood seasoning. Nice. Price, kinda what you would expect for Honolulu.

So delicious! ! Both sandwiches and tacos are delicious. I always eat this when I come to Hawaii.
Recommended to eat for an early lunch.
Isn't it a little expensive? You may think so, but for girls, one set is more than enough to share.
Drinks also come with free refills, so you can have a variety of different drinks.
It's filled with chunks of lobster, and you can choose between mayo or butter sauce, but I prefer the butter sauce. Also, the fries are seriously the most delicious I've ever eaten in my life. I'm not a potato fan and always leave some left over, so I ate them all.
Tacos are for filling your stomach. One piece is as filling as salted bean daifuku. If it's 2 pieces, it'll be enough. For two girls, two tacos and a drink would be a light meal. The tacos are also boneless with lobster scissors! It's written.
The black Nee-chan who always works the cash register speaks English a little fast, but she's friendly, so when I look at her with a "?" look, she speaks more slowly or changes the way I say things. kind. If you bring a cup with you to get a refill for your drink, they'll quickly ask you something like "Is it the same as the one you had before?" while checking out the cash register, and they'll refill it for you right away. kind. like.
