The filet mignon was absolutely perfect. Well seasoned perfect cook. The sides were very good as well. The crab cake was not the best, but as the server pointed out to us Wolfgang's is a steakhouse.
Several of the other lower reviews are correct. The food was mediocre at best, especially for the price point - however, not the worst overpriced steak I've had. The meat quality was there, just poor sear and average seasoning - I hoped for better. The service and atmosphere were disappointing. We were made to feel rushed, like just another table served and out of the way, on to the next one type deal. May be beneficial for some families, as there were a few very large tables around, so circumstances that may make this atmosphere and service a selling point. I will not be back.
I'm sad to say that this was an underwhelming experience. We went for lunch so perhaps the full menu is a better experience. We were a party of three. The highlight of the meal was a lobster bisque which was excellent. One got a steak salad which showed up with just lettuce mix from a bag. Nothing added and no dressing. We had to request dressing and a steak knife. One got a burger. Nothing like a sauce or condiment on it and dry. I got a petite filet which oddly enough was both overcooked and undercooked. Not sure how to do that. Also had to request a steak knife. It was under seasoned as were the mashed potatoes. Sadly I give it a thumbs down and wished we got the 4+star rating we expected.
We were seated in the back away from all the noise and it was great. Food was phenomenal. Steak was soo good. Best dessert was definitely the chocolate mousse cake. Was so light and refreshing. Tasted like an Oreo
Wolfgang's is my favorite restaurant in nyc. We flew here from New York and were very excited to try the Wolfgang's a in Waikiki. Our experience was awful. Paid almost $900 and the food was awful. Steaks were totally undercooked. Came out raw, we sent it back and they still came back raw. Sides were cold. Plates were cold instead of the the traditional sizzling we were used to. They forgot the mushrooms, brought the wrong wine, which we poured ourselves throughout the night. I've never had a bad experience with the brand, but I can safely say this was the most dissapointikg steakhouse we've ever been at. Ended up leaving early and packing up the leftovers and giving them to a homeless person on the Waikiki strip.
The host's handling of our reservation was extremely unprofessional. Even though we had a 7:00 pm dinner reservation, we were asked whether we were there for happy hour or dinner, which clearly showed a failure in basic reservation management. Despite having a reservation, we were seated right by the entrance, which was noisy and uncomfortable. We ordered a steak and mac and cheese, and both were below average and not worth the price. Overall, this was a very frustrating and unsatisfactory experience.
Front desk seemed preoccupied and not very friendly or welcoming. Four people standing there talking with each other. Server was excellent. Food was high quality, though pretty pricy, $130 for a fillet mignon. Larger selection of other things on the menu would have been good. For instance, no lobster tails as an add-on was available.
This spot is always on our must-visit list—and this time we had the pleasure of being helped by Brian and Dean. I ordered a steak, which isn't normally my go-to, but I'm so glad I did. It was huge, cooked perfectly medium, and so delicious that we took the rest back to the hotel and enjoyed it for breakfast. My husband got his usual crab appetizer—just one this time! They even remembered us from before, probably because he's the only person who orders two for himself. He talks about that appetizer from the moment we start planning our trip to Waikīkī. He also had the tenderloin, which was cooked exactly the way he likes it. I tried their steak sauce for the first time and loved it. It's made fresh, and if they bottled it, I'd buy it for our “Steak Sundays”! Dessert is always outstanding, with a great selection—and the cream they add is unbelievably good. Everyone there is so friendly; it feels like every staff member makes a point to say hello and goodbye, which we really appreciate. We can't wait to come back, and we hope we get to see Dean and Brian again!
Thank you so much! We had an amazing birthday celebration at a lovely window-side table with a fantastic view. It made the evening very special.
Timothy served us again! He remembered us from last time, which is a while ago, and felt so welcomed! His service was excellent again! Thank you, Timothy!

We had amazing serverS with a great transition of change over from the day shift, to the evening shift. I was so impressed, not just by the food, but by how well the staff works as a team. Service, food, and environment was letting a 5* restaurant.
Our reservation was originally scheduled for 5 PM, but we had to change it to 7 PM, and they were happy to accommodate us. Our seat was close to the aisle, so it was a little noisy, but our waiter, Lin, was very attentive and we had a very enjoyable time. The portions of rice and mashed potatoes were a little too much. The meat was highly rated and delicious.
Food, ambience & service are outstanding. We've been here several times & it's always a treat! We absolutely love this restaurant.
Best food in Waikiki. They made us feel welcome and comfortable. Everything tasted amazing and the service was excellent.
We had high expectations of their steaks but we were disappointed. I had the petite filet and it was cooked perfectly. I wanted it close to well done and the meat was still tender. But the meat did not have too much taste. My home grilled Costco Prime rib eye tasted much better. My husband had the bone in rib eye. It was a huge steak but he said it was tough. At $138 each, the steak should not be tough. Again, Costco Prime is better. The garlic mashed potato was good, very creamy but had big pieces of garlic in it. Not for someone who doesn’t want garlic breath.
