Terrible service.
Had a reservation at 6pm. Got a buzzer but waited more than 30 min. Asked for the table again, then they finally checked us in, and gave a table. Had tuna tartar and wolfgang salad for appetizers. Taste was average, not impressive at all. And waited an hour again. My 6 year old boy had to wait for his food more than 1.5 hrs(he doesnt eat veggies and raw fish). I asked the server for the steak. Then it finally came... the steak and creamed spinach was good, but was not worth 400 US dollars total we paid(had three glasses of wine as well). I visited peter lugar in brooklyn, and ringside in portland. Peter lugar is also the busiest restaurant with many tourists. But the service was different, and with reservation of course, we got a table within 5 min. I will never go back to any of wolfgang. Try somewhere that would treat you better with that money.

We dined with Wolfgang's Waikiki last year and enjoyed it so much we decided to go again. When we arrived there were 3 young ladies at the hostess stand. One was on the phone, one was seating guests and one was texting on what appeared to be her personal phone completely ignoring guests in line to check in. She eventually checked us in and there was a short wait. We were seated in the back large dining room amongst 2 large parties with lots of noisy children running up and down between the tables. We asked to be re-sat because we knew dining amongst so many families with noisy kids was not going to work well for what we hoped would be a wonderful dining experience like we enjoyed last year. I went to the desk and explained and the answer was that we could be re-sat outside on the patio, but if we wanted indoor seating we would have to wait for a long time. We made reservations last November and so it wasn't as though we showed up last minute hoping for a table. Once seated on the patio, my cocktail came out incorrect and had to go back. Instead of a nice bread basket being offered to indoor guests, we received a basket of stale potato chips and had to ask for a bread basket. The food however did not disappoint, but all put together, it was a very disappointing evening as compared to last year. We had high expectations going in for a repeat experience and sadly it was from from it. Kandace M

Sadly we were underwhelmed. We did eat at the lanai portion and had the three course 12 oz steak and the tenderloin bites and a salad. Tenderloin bites were super chewy and salad didn’t really have any dressing on it. My husband did like the way his steak was cooked.

Despite having a reservation, we were left standing at the entrance for 15 minutes without any explanation from the female staff member. When we were finally seated, we were placed in the most isolated corner of the restaurant. Based on the way we were treated, it clearly felt like racial discrimination.

This was particularly shocking, as this was our fourth visit to Hawaii—a place where people of many nationalities live together—and it was the first time we had ever experienced such treatment.

Even after being seated, our assigned server did not come to our table until well over five minutes had passed.

The food itself was very good, and in contrast to the experience at the entrance, our servers Chad and Zaw were excellent—friendly, welcoming, and professional. They even went out of their way to offer a cake to another group in our party who were visiting on their honeymoon, which showed genuine care and attentiveness.

Had it not been for the discriminatory treatment at the entrance, this would have been a perfect dinner. The front-of-house staff member involved should receive serious customer service and sensitivity training. Unfortunately, she was not wearing a name tag, so I am unable to identify her.

The service was excellent and very friendly. Even though we were a party of seven, they managed to give us a seat in a great location. The meat was superb, and they even provided a complimentary cheesecake for a birthday in our group. Truly wonderful!

The filet mignon was absolutely perfect. Well seasoned perfect cook. The sides were very good as well. The crab cake was not the best, but as the server pointed out to us Wolfgang's is a steakhouse.

the meal was delicious. And the service of the staff was very good! It was my honeymoon and I'm leaving with good memories :) See you!

Several of the other lower reviews are correct. The food was mediocre at best, especially for the price point - however, not the worst overpriced steak I've had. The meat quality was there, just poor sear and average seasoning - I hoped for better. The service and atmosphere were disappointing. We were made to feel rushed, like just another table served and out of the way, on to the next one type deal. May be beneficial for some families, as there were a few very large tables around, so circumstances that may make this atmosphere and service a selling point. I will not be back.

Sat at the bar and had the NY special for lunch. Amazing! Great drinks, food and staff.
