It was my first time there but the rest of the family had been there before and I understand why they return. The entire staff, especially the server, was so welcoming and provided a very toddler-friendly experience. They even played my granddaughter's favorite songs over their sound system. And the food was so Ono-licious. I ordered some appetizers to take home and the portion size was generous with a price that was so reasonable. We're so sad they're closing....
We went when they first opened and it was empty. Service was great and food taste was very unique and delicious. You go through a wave of flavors that hit the pallet well. Suntory biru was great too. Happy hour was amazing!
Overall, Yakitori Hachibei delivers more than just skewers: it delivers a thoughtful, refined, and joyful dining experience rooted in Japanese craftsmanship but alive in Honolulu. I'll return again without hesitation. Highly recommended to anyone seeking an elevated izakaya / yakitori experience.
