We had a really good experience at Yard House at Waikiki Beach Walk. The food was solid, not over-the-top amazing, but definitely tasty and worth coming back for. We ordered the carnivore pizza, orange chicken, crispy Brussels sprouts, and a few drinks, and everything hit the spot. The atmosphere was lively and fun, and service was friendly without feeling rushed. A great casual option in Waikiki when you want a reliable meal and good drinks.

Violet was extremely attentive, compassionate, and such a pleasure to speak with. We always hope that when we go here we’ll run into her again. Yard House is lucky to have someone like her.

Update: we came back in two more times and had the loveliest experiences. Kaya was such a wonderful and gracious manager to speak with. And the second time Justin C was just as wonderful as everyone we have had experiences with here. He was attentive, kind, thoughtful and so prompt with everything when we were starving.

If you have a kid that demands mac & cheese or a simple burger, Yard House is the place to go on those nights were you just can't handle a cranky kid before going to watch the sunset.

Their beer flights are great and offer a lot of local varieties to try out for the first time. The food is good, it's Yard House but still worth the stop.

The place itself is a little cramped and the service was the slowest by far between the couple dozen places we've been so far.

The food and the atmosphere were excellent, and we ended up coming here four times during our stay in Hawaii.

That said, our last visit left a bad impression. The server stood next to us and insisted that we choose the tip amount on the spot. We said we preferred to decide on our own, but they kept pushing us to pick one of 18%, 20%, or 22%, and wouldn’t step away.

We weren’t particularly satisfied with the service, but we were still willing to leave a standard 15% tip. Unfortunately, that option was never really given.

That extra 3% won’t make any difference to my life. Judging by how hard you pushed for it, I’m guessing it matters a lot more to yours.

Excellent food & great service. Obviously a huge selection of beers. We actually chose it for having good vegetarian burger options. Good atmosphere, it was a bit loud.

We order chicken wraps, ahi tuna and Korean tacos. The chicken wraps and aji were excellent; the tacos were good. Service was prompt and personal. Prices were very reasonable. We enjoy Yard House for there selection and quality.

We were told to go to the Yard House to watch Thursday night football. We got to the Yard House and the girls at the desk says their home show Thursday night football only Sunday. So we left.

I stopped in at Yard House and ordered the small chicken salad along with a side of sweet potato fries. The “small” salad was actually quite generous in size — fresh, well-prepared, and flavorful enough to feel like a full meal on its own. It had a good balance of ingredients, with the chicken cooked just right and served in a way that felt both hearty and light.

The sweet potato fries were crisp on the outside and soft on the inside, and they came with a maple syrup dip. That was a first for me, but it turned out to be a pleasant surprise — the sweetness of the syrup paired nicely with the savory fries and gave them a unique flavor profile compared to the usual ketchup or aioli.

Service was another highlight. The staff was friendly, attentive without being overbearing, and seemed genuinely welcoming, which made the overall experience more enjoyable.

The atmosphere was lively but still comfortable enough for conversation, with the upbeat energy you’d expect from Yard House. It feels like a great spot whether you’re there for a casual bite, watching a game, or meeting with friends.

Overall Impression:
Good food, unique touches like the maple syrup dip, and excellent service make Yard House a solid choice. I’d definitely come back to try more menu items.

The food was excellent and the service was exceptional. Only thing I didn't like was the lighting. It's difficult to read the menu and need to use your phone light to see. You have to try the beer of course, very tasty!

My wife and I had been to this place 13 years ago, I know, long time. We recommended it to many friends who have visited Hawaii and they enjoyed it.

Tonight we got the chance to take our adult family back to the premises.

The service was diabolically bad. Our first order of refreshments took 15 minutes to arrive. Ok they were busy but the beer glasses were not full, in fact they were along way down from the top. Eldest son asked for them to be filled please. Bartender left and was seen to go to the bar, stir the glasses and return to the table!!

When again asked to fill the glasses picked them up and left in a huff.

Another waitress returned with full glasses and explained it was common practice to not fill the glasses in Hawaii. That hasnt been our experience but there you go.

We waited and waited for the ordered bottle of Rose for our ladies. Eventually waiter showed up with a bottle of Prosecco. No, could we have the Rose please. “I’ll be straight back”. Fifteen minutes later the Rose arrived.

The five meals then arrived separately over the next ten minutes.

The meal, beer and wine totalled $240. To be fair the meal was good but the service was horrendous and at time aggressive.

Unbelievably disappointed
