The spouse and I were in the mood for some Dole Whip, which is what brought us to Zagu. I’ve personally never tried it before today.
ATMOSPHERE: The food stand is located in the Makai Market food court inside Ala Moana Center. Seating is communal.
DESSERT: Dole Whip - $7.25 (small cup) Pineapple is not my favorite fruit or flavor, yet I had to try it as the name always struck my curiosity. The tartness was my biggest dislike. I envisioned it being more creamy and “vanilla-y” with a hint of pineapple, but the flavor profile was too intense for my palate.
SERVICE: Very mainstream and nothing to write home about.
TIP: The ice cream they serve is an old-time Hawaii brand, Dave’s Ice Cream.
OVERALL: I’ll stick to traditional soft serve & ice cream.

Service was fantastic from the crew. They were attentive and quick. The shaved ice was a little on the unflavorful side, could have definitely used a bit more of that. Great location and the drinks and shaved ice definitely hits the spot when outside in the sun.

Things in HI are kind of pricey, and shave ice is a little bit expensive to some people but if you’re going to get it from anywhere i recommend here, especially if you’re wanting toppings (mochi, jelly, condensed milk) because they load you up!

The honeydew w/aloe vera is really good. Kinda pricy but I get that it's a tourist zone. Not sure what the other reviews are saying about rude staff members, the cashier I had was great.

I have been trying to get a hold of you to resolve the life threatening incident that happened to my son (in ER for over 5 hours) after consuming a fruit tea drink from your store in Ala Moana on 4/7/23 while we were on vacation in Oahu.I have contacted you while we were in ER and you were fully aware of the situation, took responsibility to pay the hospital medical expenses and has reported the incident to your insurance. However, we have not heard from you and the insurance company. It has been almost 4 months since the incident occurred.Weve provided all our receipts, documents and signed medical authorization forms to Sereenna at First Insurance.Please call me as soon as possible.Thank you,Nora

Boba drink is tasty and good. It’s my always go to after shopping. But a cashier told me I had to order large to get topping for free at my first visit, which I found out he LIED to me at my second visit. Customer service is always poor.

Service was slow. The workers were rude! Don't eat here. After I didnt agree to my order, the rude guy at the front walked away and ignored me. Never eat here! Hawaii costs toooo much for the service to be so so rude and unkind!
