Went to Zigu for the first time for our son's birthday! We were lucky to have David as our waiter! Good energy, vibrant and did an amazing job highlighting son's birthday! Food was very good too! Same sampler was awesome🥰 Wagu special, sashimi and a few other dishes were all very delicious! We will be back 😙

Horrible service, great food. The waiter said he could make one of the rolls gluten free for my wife. It came, and after we both ate a roll, we noticed there were tempura bits sprinkled on top. After waiting for another 15 minutes until the server came back to check on us, we asked if the tempura was gluten free to which he responded it wasn't. We asked for them to remake it without tempura, this request was refused and he said “they would not remake it for free and this is why I said I didn't want to give you food off the non-gluten free menu” (this was never said to us originally). After saying I wasn't going to pay for something we couldn't eat, he proceeded to say that he would pay for it and kept repeating it to make us feel bad and had a horrible attitude. We asked for the bill immediately and left. The roll was taken off the bill and a 10% discount was given, but we still tipped the cost of the roll since he made a huge deal about him paying. We had dinner at a food truck close by after this debacle and it was a much better experience.

The quality of the fish was extremely poor , and the tempura had nothing to do with the e light and crunchy Japanese tempura.
This is one of my Go-to places....they had special water cress dishes (short season) which were killer. The group I took was heavily vegetarian, so there are always options. I just like the vibe of the patio, kinda hip, kinda funky, not precious. The food is dependable, the service is always great, and David was in top form last night.

Excellent restaurant in the heart of Waikiki. Delicious Japanese/Hawaiian food and very efficient service. The Hawaiian Tuna cutlet is very good, as are the fried octopus balls. Friendly atmosphere and moderate (for Honolulu!) prices.
