Wow! On the last night of our 10 day vacation we happened to stumble across this gem. The ambiance is unbeatable. The ocean is your view, the tiki torches and lighting create a lovely space. Every single item we had was absolutely delicious. Each had their own flavor profile yet all worked well together. The staff was friendly and attentive, and we heard the owner is a guy who’s, “passionate about food and the first one in and the last one to leave each day.” Well Sir, your passion and dedication came through our meal tonight.
Next time we’re on the island we will be back again!
Vegetarian options: The grilled vegetables were amazing my! We also sampled the fried tofu and that was great as well. Some in our party are big meat eaters and they loved the vegetables.

The food was very overpriced. The lobster was dry. They didn’t bother to serve the lobster with melted butter. We had to ask three times for a steak knife. The waitress actually offered me a used steak knife. The service was really mediocre. The portions were very small. The waitress was not friendly or helpful the food was good but way overpriced for four people our bill came to $220. Not a good choice Pounders in Laie is much better great service really good food!

Terrible waitress blonde lady who has been there a while.no fish tacos and you would think being a restaurant across from the water.The fish we ate was not good & very expensive.Tried the restaurant twice with different friends all say the same.If you like meat you might have better luck.

We visit Hawaii from Costa Rica, and stop to this restaurant with beautiful view and great food. When we paid the bill that was a lot the place is expensive. The server demand a certain amount of tip, of course we tip but no what she wants. Tip is a courtesy not a law in the us, we definitely wouldn’t come back it was an awkward moment.

We loved this place so much that we decided to have both lunch and dinner on a recent trip to Hawaii. We also got to meet the owner who is passionate about food and a world traveler. The brisket tacos was delicious. So delicious that my picture shows only one (came as 3 tacos) but couldn’t wait to inhale the first two before taking the picture…

Great experience! We stopped while we were driving around the island, what a pleasant surprise! The food was great, views were amazing, but the best part was our server, Coleen. She guided us through the menu, describing items and answering our questions… and she even honestly told us when we were ordering too much food 😂 some servers will just let you keep ordering, but she was right! We had plenty of leftovers. Can’t wait to come back next year!

Fantastic food and great patio overlooking the ocean! Perfect spot to stop for lunch/dinner when exploring the island! The shareables (sliders, tacos) are whole meals and the robata grill is great for sharing amongst a group. The Kalbi was delicious and was 8-9 pieces. Sushi was super fresh ahi and fantastic!
I ate at the restaurant 48 years ago and when we heard it had been bought by new owners we gave it a try. BEST meal of the whole trip ( had eaten in a few top restaurants in Waikiki already) The view was incredible from both the patio area and indoor dining and with ordering several a la cart items each was equally amazing. Swordfish, scallops, sweet potatoes, brisket tacos with seasoned fries, grilled asparagus… perfection ! Not over priced and lived up and beyond expectations.. a 10 star review from all 3 of us -
