Bizarre menu and slow service makes you wonder if this is the best the Ritz-Carlton can provide its guests at exorbitant prices?!? How about a green salad? Time for a complete do over.
I had a wonderful dinner at Alaia in Turtle Bay. The setting was gorgeous, and the food was absolutely delicious—especially the chicken and beet salad! What really made the night special was our server, Thomas. He was so warm, attentive, and genuinely made us feel welcome. Thanks to Thomas, our experience felt extra memorable. I can't wait to go back!
By far the best meal of our trip! This place is worth the stop, the Tomahawk steak was the best we have had anywhere in US. Thomas our server was the best!! Thanks for all your food recommendations Thomas! Mahalo!!
My fiancé and I came after our proposal, and the Alaia made our night so special. I let them know using the comments what we were celebrating, and the staff went out of their way to place us in a private table for two, provide symbolic leis, and even give us complementary dessert. The food only reflected all of this as well. It was amazing. Will definitely be coming back here when we come to visit Oahu again!
We were the first guests to arrive. We were celebrating my husbands birthday. There is only one table facing the back kitchen door where all the employees enter and leave and we ended up getting it. Not only could I see the food the entire time but I could hear the dishes clanking in the kitchen. The restaurant should be aware that is a horrible table
We really enjoy the hospitality, we have a two year old dining with us and they take great care of us!
The food is decent but the cost is high and the service is poor. For that cost you'd expect high end service but our server was hard to be found, transactional, lacked knowledge of the menu, and overall took away from the experience.
We were there celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary and had an excellent experience! The service was impeccable and the food was superb. We were treated to an amuse bouche and a complementary dessert, which was so nice! Beautiful views and great ambiance.
A unique sining experience. Outside, overlooking the bay. Excellent service and food. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants a great experience!
Great service. Beautiful scenery and views. Great place to watch the ocean as you eat. 3lb fried kampachi for $225. Pricey but delicious

Thomas was our server, and he was excellent. Extremely knowledgeable, friendly, timely. 10/10 server. Food was delicious. Pretty pricey but on par with a nice restaurant on the island. Highly recommend.
I'd love to say we had a good experience, but we just didn't. At this price point, the bar for service must be higher. We were seated an hour and a half before our entrees came out. Tables sat after us got their checks before we got our second course. A shame given that we are here celebrating our anniversary.
Our hostess greeted us promptly and gave us a lovely outdoor table. Scott our waiter was very friendly and professional. Food was awesome and was one of our best meals of all times. Our experience was so good that we came back again in the same week.
We enjoyed our dinner at Alaia! The food was delicious and the service was stellar. I was incredibly impressed by the punctuality of our experience. We had the sashimi as an appetizer. It was good, but the temperature of the fish was varying which just felt a bit odd. We loved the mushroom tagliatelle. We will certainly be back.
This was not on par with what I would expect from a Ritz Carlton property restaurant. We had poke, sashimi, a pear salad and a steak and a side of mushrooms. We also had a cocktail each for the 2 of us. Total spent, about 240 USD before tip. The positives: food was fresh, easy to find a table this time of year (May). And the rest: it was a very bumpy dinner service. First I found it odd that the dinner was served with break apart Chinese takeout style chopsticks. Just super tacky. Didn't match the price point. The waiter was ill informed of the cocktail menu and his recommendation was the most expensive thing on the menu (tomahawk) which is always a bit of a red flag for me. When I asked if they could make a cocktail that was off menu which I had at the lobby bar the night prior (known among cocktail folks, an aviation) he told me “bar tender has a phone” instead of just asking if he could make it. Just an odd vibe. The drink failed that I ordered instead showed up after the food which was unceremoniously dropped on the table all at once. It literally wouldn't fit. When I said I couldn't possibly eat this all at once they asked if we wanted a bigger table. Again just odd. Take it back. Try again later. The same thing happened again with the second round of food. The waiter threw his runner under the bus and said it was her fault. I disagree. But found the squabble to be none of my business. Just make it work. Eventually the waiter left for the end of his shift without saying anything. Never a brief apology, not a “my bad” or sorry it got weird. Would not go back. Would not recommend at this time.
