Never thought this place would give me food poisoning but it did. I’ve been eating the steak sandwich here for years and yesterday it tasted a little funky. 7 hours later I started feeling nauseous and it came out of both ends nonstop from 9pm to 4am. The food was barely digested, Once it came out I feel better just exhausted and sore. This was the only food I put into my body in a 24 hour period, I fasted a whole day before I ate this. I’m scared on how poorly my food had to be handled for me to get that sick. Amazing sandwich sad I will never eat it again.

Our family has enjoyed Fork and Salad for years. They have amazing staff, expertly designed salads and sandwiches, and great local products. It’s “feel good food” that always leave us satisfied and feeling healthy. Our kids also love it (they eat kale now!) and our six year old says that she wants to work there someday! It’s definitely a great meal for Kama’aina and visitors.

The staff was so helpful I am new to eating healthy. There is so many amazing choices. Who would of thought watermelon and feta on a salad. So GOOOOOODD!! DEFINITELY WILL BE RECOMMENDED THE FOOD SERVICE AND ATMOSPHERE WAS OUT OF THIS WORLD!

First thing you get when you walk in is the fresh smell of the store, followed by friendly staff and a wide selection of toppings and veggies. Lots of options for sauce if you have dairy or gluten restrictions and the end result is an amazing salad. I got the Ancient Greek salad and it was phenomenal!

Selling the perception of health food more so than anything else, and doing so with mediocrity.

Tried Fork & Salad shortly after landing in Kahului. I was excited to chow down into a big salad. The service here is very good. I found all of the staff to be super friendly and very accommodating. I ended up ordering the Buddha Bowl and a strawberry lemonade. The salad was confusing, borderline bland, and not even entirely organic. Big disappointment! I was told none of the meat here is organic and then found out a lot of their other ingredients aren’t either.

In terms of the Buddha Bowl being confusing and bland - why put wasabi peas in this? Please reconsider! They are so unbelievably hard compared to everything else in the salad it’s like an unwanted surprise in your mouth every time you get one. You get a fairly large salad that comes with a teeny tiny cup of dressing that doesn’t even cost half of the salad. They should really consider dressing their salads in a bowl before serving to ensure coverage. The whole salad just felt really confusing to me.

My biggest issue is this place gives off health food vibes from their marketing and atmosphere, but don’t back it up with their practices.

For all my vegans and plant based enthusiasts out there, this place does have vegan options but it’s a bit of an underwhelming food experience!
