What a beautiful market! It is a gourmet supermarket with lots of high quality fruits & sandwiches, & bakery good! My favorite is this delicious Okinawa. Potatoes pie with coconut! It is layer of buttery crust, sweet potatoes and top it off coconut… it is so delicious! Brought this home for the family!!!

Simply Local and Maika'i Market by proxy offered a place for many Lāhaina staples another chance to offer their food to Maui after the fires - the Molokai Hot Bread people running Simply Local are incredibly kind and do everything to keep the community fed, and their newest Molokai Hot Bread melts are my latest obsession. I personally love the Ham, Cheese, and Egg Melt!

Stopped at the Makai Market food cart to see the various fast food offered while in Oahu. Over 50 places to eat and choose from all in one area. Clean floors, clean rest rooms, its one of the main bus transfer points so its good to stop if you need a quick bite while waiting for a bus or you need to use rest room

Food and atmosphere at the Maika’i Market are unbeatable. Sushi at Tokkai is our recommendation. There’s food for all preferences and the area is great. Simply Local is a one of a kind store where Clint and his team spread the Aloha unlike anywhere else. Make sure to check out the OnoOno Molokai sherbet in Simply Local as well! We’ll be back next time on Maui.

So I’ve driven past the Maika’i Market a couple of times now & finally designated a time to stop. Which I’m so glad we did, their set up is hella cute. Plus I’m always a fan of trying out new locations. Food trucks are always packed with some amazing flavors & you’ll get to run into some of the coolest people. So thank you to everyone who helped contribute to my mini spur of the moment photo shoot. Not only did I enjoy all my goodies that I picked up on my first trip here.
