I can’t say enough good things about 808 Grindz Cafe. We ate here TWICE during our vacation because the food was absolutely amazing, and the flavors were spot on. Everything tasted so fresh and well-prepared. The atmosphere was welcoming and relaxing, perfect for enjoying a great meal with family or friends.
The prices were very affordable, especially considering the quality of the food and service. It’s rare to find such a gem that delivers so much without breaking the bank. I was so caught up in the experience that I forgot to take any photos, but trust me—it’s worth it. Highly recommend checking it out!

Funky little local place operating on a shoestring, but doing an okay job. Had good eggs and potatoes and coffee for breakfast. Vienna sausages were boring. Wish they had bacon.

Excellent, local, authentic food. I had the Kalua pork hash and fried rice with pancakes and macadamia nut vanilla spice which were all incredible. Hole in the wall location in a strip mall, but well worth it if you want a good local spot with super friendly staff.

I had the salmon Benedict.,...the slice of fish was the size of a quarter and 1/4 inch thick and dry. My wife had traditional Benedict....ham was also tiny. The hollandaise sauce was gritty and not good. Hash browns and coffee were good as well as poached eggs. They painted the entire inside a bad blue color poorly... They even painted over electrical outlets....No plates....all food on To go plastic. Huge Land fill contributor. Would not return... Pics are bait and switch. They seem nice, so I'm sorry for bad review. But it's true.

We’ve been going to 808 in Maui for years and were sad their location was destroyed in the wildfires. The food at the Kona location is equally good. This place is “no frills” and not fancy but the food can’t be beat.

Great food. Better get there early or the line gets crazy. I tried to get in later in the week and the line was out the door. Great size potions.

Came by here for brunch. We have the smoked meat loco moco and a reg loco moco. The smoked meat was tasty, eggs cooked perfectly. I ordered it with fried rice, nothing special. The gravy was pretty salty. My son had the reg loco moco. The patty was dry and pretty tough to cut through. Everything else was the same as mine. It was ok but nothing I’d go out of my way for.

What I was expecting was NOT at all what I got and DO NOT recommend. It left me with a stomachache and heartburn. I ordered the Fresh catch of the day, coffee, and fried rice. It came with two easy poached eggs and hollandaise sauce. The coffee was extremely bitter and even cream and sugar could not take away the bite of bitterness. When our food came the server mixed up my order with my sons. The hollanddaise sauce was flour gritty and didn’t have any of the rich flavor accustomed to. My sons avocado was crunchy and not at all ripe and the English muffins were saucy. The service was nice.
I had benedict-style Florentine eggs—ingredients kinda right but flavor profile very far from what you expect.
The worst part is a serving in plastic containers with a plastic utensils. Its a giant am out of trash for such a limited islands. Guys gives zero fs about their contribution in a paradise.

Moco was disgusting, gravy tasted like it was from a packet, insanely salty. Bottled water only. Stay away.
