We absolutely loved our experience at 808 Grindz Café! The food came out fast, fresh, and at a great price — a rare find on the island. My wife ordered eggs with spam and potatoes and everything was cooked perfectly with that comforting, local touch. I went for the shrimp, eggs, steak, and hash browns, and it was honestly one of the best breakfasts I’ve had anywhere — generous portions, perfectly seasoned, and so satisfying. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere had a laid-back, local vibe that made us feel right at home. This was hands down the best meal we’ve had so far on the island, and we can’t wait to come back again!

Tried quite a few different items on the menu. Macnilla is quite nice especially if you add a little of the maple. Mac waffle was great. The hash browns crispy and wonderful. Bene trip favorite was the salmon then pork the crab. Pancakes were great as well... The iced coffee was wonderful with vanilla cream. If I had a critique on the food didn't love the corned beef hash .. environment is small 9 tables but comfortable people were friendly.

So sad this place has changed dramatically since we were here prior to Covid. Don’t know if there’s new owners or Covid that made such a difference, no matter if you done in or not everything is served in to go boxes 😕 food was lacking in presentation and portion size. Eggs Benedict muffin was flattened not toasted, I ordered one with bacon on it and there might have been one piece between the two.

Da Bene Trio had two eggs over English muffin, but a third egg on top of hash browns -- weird. One egg was undercooked. Overall, it was a gooey mess. We sat in the restaurant, but were nonetheless served our food in to-go boxes. Peeling paint on the walls. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere.
Great menu option and delicious. Bacon Mac Nut pancakes were wonderful and they could make them gluten free. Delicious! Generous portions and great value! Super friendly staff and comfy, unassuming atmosphere.

I got the steak shrimp and eggs with fried rice and my wife got the 808 fried rice and needless to say the food was absolutely amazing, staff was very friendly and it is extremely affordable and the portions are very nice.
