Yummy and cute, good decor, great merch options, and overall many things to taste, wonderfully textured shaved ice. One of the cashiers was weird and immediately defensive because I didn’t properly see some of their options, and asked questions about it. She also seemed unhappy with me because I was choosing four flavor syrups for my ice instead of three… I don’t know what her issue was. The good was that she at least answered my questions about the flavors available. Overall...
An absolute must visit if in downtown Kona. This little place has both the delicious Dole pineapple and the Dole mango, both are gluten & dairy free. Then the ube soft serve and coconut soft serve were amazing. We like the soft serve float (POG is the way to go), but the slushes are what sets this place apart. They're amazing. Shave ice with the soft serve. Soooo good!
I got the pineapple soft serve ice cream and my wife got the shave ice. I'm a big time ice cream fan, so the Dole ice cream is definitely worth a try if you want to experience a unique Hawaiian treat that you won't find on the main land.
