Refresh! The menu complements this setting perfectly, offering an array of dishes that blend local Hawaiian flavors with Asian influences, ensuring each bite is a discovery in itself. The cocktails, particularly the signature Mai Tais, are crafted with a meticulous attention to detail, using fresh juices and premium spirits to recreate the classic tiki drinks that have enchanted so many.Beyond the culinary delights, Don the Beachcomber's location in Kona provides a breathtaking view of the ocean, making it an ideal spot for sunset views. The staff's hospitality embodies the warmth and friendliness Hawaii is known for, making every visit feel special. Whether it's for a romantic dinner, a family gathering, or a solo adventure, Don the Beachcomber offers a unique blend of history, culture, and flavor that captures the essence of Hawaii's tropical charm. We enjoyed the nachos and tuna sashimi.

Place is closed and not open for breakfast. Even asked the hotel staff at check-in if there was a breakfast buffet available and they said this was the place at the hotel with the buffet.

Food was fantastic! Had the nachos and fish tacos. The ocean front table was delightful. The service was excellent. Can't say enough about this place!

We waited for an hour, and finally gave up. That wouldn’t have been so bad if we had been told what to expect, but they kept saying that we would be seated soon. Couldn’t even get a drink at the bar. you’re definitely paying extra for the view.Parking: There are very few spots on the street. The paid lots are $12 an hour.

We got there and were told it would be a 20-30 minute wait. We end up waiting almost an hour which was fine, we were willing to do that. We get seated and wait FIFTEEN minutes just for a waitress to come and tell us the kitchen closed. It was 6:30 and the kitchen wasn’t supposed to close till 8:30. No explanation was given, it wasn’t the weather. Wasted nearly an hour and a half for nothing. Poor service.

Average drinks, below average food, bad service, the view was nice compared to someplace in Nebraska but for Hawaii was just average. Nothing special about this place and not worth visiting.

Their beach party burger was definitely a good burger. Got it medium rare and it came out great! The fries were low key delicious.

Three years ago, I ordered a tasting flight of so-called mai tais. Tonight I ordered a proper 1947 Mai Tai. Please don’t futz up like I did and make sure you get the OG.Unless you like fruity nonsense, if so, go ham you animals!

Absolutely amazing place to eat and the scenery is incredible. Service is friendly and attentive as well. We came here for our honeymoon (staying at Royal Kona Resort) and we came to this restaurant multiple times (going back for our last dinner out here tonight). Tip: You have to try the poke nachos, trust me...they're something special. Whenever we make it out again, we will definitely come back. Mahalo!

Great view. Delicious food & drinks. Seating available for larger groups. Bar seating with tv's. Ocean view available. Take out available. Located inside the Royal Kona Resort. 3hour parking validation available for non resort guests. Free Live music on Thursday's. Get drinks to go and walk around resort. Friendly staff everyone is great. Opens at 6:30am and it does get busy early with most travelers used to their own time zones. First come first serve. Highly recommend. Glasses for purchase in gift shop. Shout out to Desmond ??? Mahalo

Guys you really have to sort out your coffee situation for breakfast. It tastes like the Folgers straight out of my airplane coffee machine, and no options to upgrade to a barista made.Pretty much ruins there breakfast experience unfortunately.Otherwise great a spot.

Good food with an even better view. We had breakfast one morning: loco moco was an experience. Two eggs, hamburger patty on rice covered with mushroom gravy. Not a big fan of gravy but I loved it.
