Starting service was a bit slow to even get our menus, 1st drinks etc.. however maybe it was just short staffing situation, perhaps? At any rate.. we'll be back!

We were very pleased with the food and service at Fosters. The grilled calamari was outstanding! We wish more restaurants offered grilled instead of battered and fried. Fosters is very hard to find if you are driving. They offer free parking with validation but finding the appropriate lot is challenging. The restaurant is upstairs from the Kona Heaven superb coffee shop.

This place is great. The food is delicious, I'm guessing because it's mostly local farmer ingredients. And the portions are HUGE with great prices. We will definitely visit again, highly recommend.

Food was OK. Service was abysmal. Worst experience we have ever had at a restaurant. We were a party of four and ordered right after being seated - two grilled cheese sandwiches with tomato bisque, an ahi salad and fried chicken. We watched as several other tables who were seated after us received their food. 45 minutes after ordering we received the soups, grilled cheese and fried chicken. Never received refills on our drinks. Our waitress was too busy chatting with other patrons and staff. We finished eating while the last person in our party still had not received his food. We had to leave for the airport (we had informed the waitress of the time constraint when we ordered and she assured us it would not be a problem). We waited another 20 minutes until we had to leave and asked for the check. She was surprised our food still hadn't come (we had tried to get her attention multiple times to ask her to check on it, but were unable to). She could not have cared less. We ate at several other restaurants that had far better food and service. Skip this place and head to Huggos, On the Rocks, Cipriano's, or Merrimans.

The overall experience was terrible. Cold food and incomplete order. Server could care less about the customers experience. I have been to Hawaii four straight years have not ever had such a terrible experience!

Great food and service with. 2nd floor view of the ocean across main street. Minimal cushion on the chairs. They will validate your parking in back lot..

Delicious lunch to-day— crab cakes especially tasty and moist with side of garlic mashed potato and other diner enjoyed a chargrilled fish burger with a side of fresh vegetables. Wait staff very friendly and efficient and service was very fast. Altogether a memorable lunch in a magnificent setting looking down on the waves crashing onto the rocks across the road. Thank you to the team at Foster’s kitchen
Amazing view, great food, and friendly folks. Lots of gluten free options. I’ve been here multiple times and have tried the burger, truffle fries, and fish tacos. Family members were happy with the tomato bisque and grilled cheese, thai salad, and chicken club.

Jeff.. you think Your biz is down cause of the paid parking fiasco. I stopped in after a long pause.. well may want to evaluate your staff and their attitude .. ordered gumbo n a drink at the bar. asked the gal at the bar for a napkin n Tabasco.. should have not had to ask but what ever.. .. she literally took a stemless wine glass with a cocktail napkin in and slid it down the bar at me.. I paid with cc and had my hand out to take my cc back and she plopped my cc down on the bar to the left of my hand. So with that said not coming back ever again. I’m Kamaaina. I have vacation rentals here.. I will no longer recommend your biz., or sister businesses. Stop decrying paid parking when your own staff literally gives your local customers poor service. Pau.
