Super sick little Kava place. The whole vibe is like nothing in my town back home. I had a kalua pork plate and guzzled some coconut water and felt completely rejuvenated. The vibe is straight out of a movie. If you wanna post up at a chill spot come here. That pork broke tha mouth for sure homie 🙏🏼
Fresh Hawaiian ‘awa (kava), great food, steps from the ocean. My favorite is the poke. If you’re not a kava drinker, the jun (like kombucha but lighter, made with green tea and honey) is great too
I got so lit on kava, that I finally got the courage to talk to women.

Kanaka Kava is a popular spot for those wanting authentic Hawaiian food and effective kava. The kava here truly delivers and is the best kava by far, grown and harvested fresh by their local Hawaiian Kanaka Maoli farm. This is a great small laid back restaurant with amazing Hawaiian food. Fans of poi will be happy to see it on the menu as a staple, and the Kaula Pig plate is often praised as the best. The laulau is highly recommended and so good that some finish it even when full. The staff is friendly, helpful, and welcoming, making the dining experience enjoyable. The open outdoor seating adds to the charm of the place, and locals frequently visit for its delicious and genuine Hawaiian cuisine, offering vegan options too. Although the restaurant closes early and sometimes runs out of certain dishes, trying a sampler of traditional Hawaiian dishes such as taro, salad, garlic bread, kalua pork, and lau lau offers a good taste of the flavors. Overall, the food is flavorful, with some sides being rich or salty, but the garlic bread and kalua pork are highlights. Parking isn't validated, but nearby stores offer validation. Despite limited options late in the day, Kanaka Kava remains a great place to experience true Hawaiian flavors and hospitality.
