Really liked it the first time having the Smokey ahi toast. But seemed like the recipe changes? The first time I was thrilled by the combination of cream cheese and chili oil and pickled radish. However, the second time doesn't have chili oil or pickled radish at all. The amount of bang bean sprouts also reduced. It changed the whole thing. so frustrated if the recipe doesn't remain the same. Scared of getting it again

I need to start out by acknowledging how incredible the staff was. Engaged with our daughter, great about being patient while we ordered and taking time to make us feel like we were regular customers. That right there, is how you build loyalty. Nothing but love from this Canadian. Everyone working December 5th 2024, is who you want always representative of your business.

Now, the secondary qualities: the coffee is perfect. Not even a hint of bitterness or lqcking any substantial flavor. Just get a 12 of black coffee and appreciate what quality coffee does as a consumer.

The frozen Ube coffee was awesome, full flavor, not overly sweet, and really just hit all the spots for us.

The music wasn't overly loud, the atmosphere was so much easier to take in and appreciate, and the vibe they've worked on establishing is already there and balanced for any customer. We'll be back, and will make a point to support HiCo moving forward.

Update: went back and ordered the loaded spam musubi, the food is absolutely also a valid reason to visit. The strawberry gin is incredible as well. Cant recommend enough.

I think the place is just good for coffee, service and food below par. Avocado Sandwich was bland.

I came here with wife then we became big fan for here. Local Kona coffee or Latte are so good . Local toast were amazingly tasty. Lots of parking place was good too. No worries where to park .

BOOPEDFUL

I was really looking forward to this experience but it was unfortunately very negative. Ube cold foam was very disappointing. Could not taste the Ube at all. It seemed understaffed and the barista was overwhelmed. Lastly, the merch was very overpriced. Overall not impressed and it seems like they need better leadership. Spend your money elsewhere!

Extremely rude behavior. I was standing second in line and then a large group of people formed a line after me on the other side. The cashier refused to take my order and asked me to go to the back of the line. I told her I was there first but she wouldn’t listen.

Traveled out of the way for the vegan musubi based on a food blogger from late 2023 but all that’s left is a “plant-based” chia pudding that’s got honey in it.

The coffee was ok, but they told me afterward of my order that they don't steam heavy whipping cream for my latte, but kept the $, and were rude (probably because I didn't tip?). But it was literally $26 to wait at the counter for 10+minutes for them to make an average coffee, a not-so-good cappuccino and two average at best baked items. I recommend going elsewhere honestly. Sorry HiCo but there's a lot of room for improvement.

Great espresso. They are pulling 100% Hawaiian espresso which is hard to find on the island. Great atmosphere. Come here daily when on the island. Shouldn’t be missed!

I try to visit different places while on vacation but this place is worth revisiting. So good.

Great coffee and food!

Why 3 stars? - We ordered an iced macha ube latte, but the barista initially made a hot latte. When we pointed it out, they just added ice instead of remaking it. For a drink that costs around $10, we would’ve appreciated it being made properly or remade it.
