Good food and very friendly servers (of course - it's Hawaii). The prices are pretty steep for the amount of food served, but food quality is very good. I would have liked to see some more interesting poke options, and plates could use some color (fruit or other garnish), but overall, the dining experience was pleasant.
Recommend the grilled fresh catch (Ahi). It’s seared on the outside while raw and tender on the inside. Sauce is also great. Also, the bartender was super welcoming
Catch and cook from a local charter. Dropped fish off after charter was a breeze, and then chef prepared it when we ate later. It was a great experience. Fried fish some of the best I've had. Service was superb, Andy was great. Will come back here next time I am in Kona even when I don't bring my own fish.

Umekes Fish Market Bar & Grill in Kona is a popular spot known for its fresh and tasty fish dishes. Many customers enjoy the Ahi Katsu, poke nachos, fish tacos, and poke bowl. The restaurant also offers other meals like calamari, short ribs, Korean fried chicken, and burgers. Diners can relax at the bar while waiting for a table, as the seating can fill up quickly. The spacious parking lot is an improvement from its previous location. A favorite for many is the delicious brownie dessert. The atmosphere is relaxed but nice, with excellent service.
The fish and chips, laulau plate, and poke are fresh and flavorful. The service is quick and kind. The menu may not be inspiring, but the food is decent, and the service is excellent. The loco moco and poke are super delicious and flavorful. The process of getting a table can be confusing, but once seated, the service is great.
