We have literally made this place a must-stop since our honeymoon in 1995. Great local spot, not touristy, just good food and drinks. Open air seating on the marina to chill and get a burger or other 'basic' pub fare. Is the food great? Honestly probably no, but the service is also mid. But who cares, you're in Kona at a local bar having a beer in a frosted goblet the size of a volleyball!

It's been a long time since I've dined at this place (thank you Covid). Came here with a buddy after doing some diving. A couple cold brews we're definitely good! I also tried the fish and chips but substituted the salad for the chips. The salad was a salad so it was just OK. The fried fish was average....not great, but not bad either. Our server was nice and very attentive. She checked back often to see if we needed anything. You have a nice view of the harbor from just about every table. Parking lot is adequate but also shared with other businesses. So sometimes you might have to park a little bit further than you'd like. No objections to eating here again.

Perfect place to stop for lunch. Great menu selection, relaxed harbor-front ambiance, and quick and friendly service. Would definitely return.

Amazing place to watch the sunset and enjoy the beer and food. Staff were really friendly and food was great and perfect for the location.

This is the harbor so come dressed casual and salty and expect super fresh seafood. This is a big open air bar and grill with ice cold schooners the size of your head and a no nonsense crew of professional servers who get your food and drinks to you without a fuss. This is the same harbor where a lot of different snorkel cruises and other boat- centric activities launch so do yourself a favor and drop in for a meal before or after your epic adventure. We always have tasty food, quick service, and good cold beers here.

Best burger on the island and the coldest beer. Never disappoints. I've been here a few times and it's one of my favorite spots

Loved my fish and chips at this chill restaurant on the water. I will note that parking can be difficult at the busy meal times but we opted to go in between lunch and dinner and didn't have an issue. The cool vibe makes it a great spot to drink an ice cold beverage while snacking on the jalapeño poppers. I had the fish and chips and she enjoyed a grilled cheese. Nothing crazy or fancy in this place but it's perfect after a long day the the beach.

What a great find!! A fun atmosphere of fish and beer loving folks! Looked for a place on way the airport from Kona and hit the jackpot with Harbor House. We devoured the delicious Shrimp Sumai appetizer while watching boats fill up for their Sunset Cruises, etc. Next the shrimp and chips ( we substituted great Cole slaw ) a perfectly lightly breaded shrimp, crispy and tender! Think it would be a great place to hang out at any time as service is fantastic ! Large capacity for all the boat owners who could show up all at the same time! lol

You can't go wrong with Maithai and calamari on any Hawaiian islands this is one of the best ways to enjoy the island life around Lahaina that happened to go to many places, but this was just another pitstop. We had to relax have a drawing get a snack and leave but we ended up staying there for hours, enjoying the food. There was a live music around and it's such a lively place. We feel sorry for what happened in Maui but I hope everything gets back to normal because this place has magical vibe and the service was super fast. Everybody wanted to help everybody if I wish I would love to go back to the old Lahaina Harbor.

Delicious, fresh fish. Try the macaroni salad as a side! View of the harbor. Brisk, friendly service.

Nice atmosphere, decent prices, beer prices are crazy, $8/bottle of domestic but I buy 12 pack of Kona brewing big wave brew at local store for $15. Fries were crisp and fresh, fish was frozen cod, expecting local fish for $19, but i was happy with the meal. I would and I will return again to this place.

The Harbor House is always our first stop when we get to Kona. We love the schooners and the view. The food is decent if you stick to the basics. Poke, fries, onion rings, Cole slaw and wings. Stay away from the fresh catch of the day. It is expensive and poorly prepared. I ordered the fresh fish sandwich with grilled Ahi Tuna. The fish had no seasoning on it and was very bland. The fish was also bone dry from being overcooked. I tried using the lemon, and the tarter sauce that came with it but nothing could save this piece of fish. At the cost of $25 ordering this sandwich was a big mistake. The service here has always been good and the staff is very friendly. We will return on our next visit.
