It's been a long time since I've dined at this place (thank you Covid). Came here with a buddy after doing some diving. A couple cold brews we're definitely good! I also tried the fish and chips but substituted the salad for the chips. The salad was a salad so it was just OK. The fried fish was average....not great, but not bad either. This is the harbor so come dressed casual and salty and expect super fresh seafood. This is a big open air bar and grill with ice cold schooners the size of your head and a no nonsense crew of professional servers who get your food and drinks to you without a fuss. This is the same harbor where a lot of different snorkel cruises and other boat- centric activities launch so do yourself a favor and drop in for a meal before or after your epic adventure. We have literally made this place a must-stop since our honeymoon in 1995. Great local spot, not touristy, just good food and drinks. Open air seating on the marina to chill and get a burger or other 'basic' pub fare. Is the food great? Honestly probably no, but the service is also mid. But who cares, you're in Kona at a local bar having a beer in a frosted goblet the size of a volleyball!
